1. Add 1 teaspoon (5g) of food-grade citric acid to the kettle and fill the kettle with clean water up to the MAX line.
2. Select “Boil” from the presets and bring the solution to a full boil.
3. Allow the solution to sit inside the kettle for 15–30 minutes.
4. Discard the solution and wipe the inside gently with a soft sponge or clean cloth.
5. Rinse the kettle 2–3 times with clean water before use.
Optional Deep Cleaning: If there are still stains or odors, you can use a mix of baking soda and water and repeat the steps.
Note: If your local tap water has a lot of minerals, you may notice small spots or rust-like marks inside the kettle over time. This is normal, not a defect. Just clean it regularly using the steps mentioned above to keep it fresh and safe.

This came in excellent condition. The gift box provides excellent protection. This worked well. I thought the heating time was reasonable and the noise level was fine. There was no rusting. There was no problem with steam burns as you leave the flap open to release steam during heating. It was easy to pack.
