Loud!
Since I haven’t encountered a bear yet on my hikes, I don’t know how well it works to deter a bear. It definitely emits a loud and obnoxious sound. I’m able to take the cap off quickly to sound the alarm and easily recap to shut it off when done with use.

Loud and works well
I clipped this to my shoulder bag while I was sightseeing in Europe. Didn’t need it but good to have. I tested at home, and it was pretty loud. Only complaint is that the spring in the included carabiner clip broke after 2 days of use. Had to purchase a better one. This reduced the overall value of the purchase.

Great Little Device
I bought one of these items for myself and also one for my sister. This thing is small enough to attach to your purse or belt loop. It gives us both an extra feeling of safety if we are traveling or working out alone. It is LOUD which is good. I really just hope that I never have to use it.

Awesome alarm
This little alarm is great! I love that it comes in a variety of fun colors. It was for my mother’s birthday and it came in her favorite color. It is light weight and very easy to use. It is very well made and will last her many years. The alarm works the second the pin is pulled and is very loud, it would definitely scare someone trying to harm her. It also takes a little bit of precision to get the pin back in, I do not think a nervous car jacket or someone would be calm enough to mess around with it to get it back in to place. It is a very small hole and it has to be lined up exactly right to click back into place. If you expect the sound it’s easy to do, by in a high stress situation with shaky hands it’ll take a bit of time! My mother likes to walk in the woods but has become very nervous about it and has been feeling uneasy. Since getting this alarm she’s back in nature and feels very safe to be there. She said it is one of her most favorite gifts she ever received. I will definitely be buying many more of these. Going to use them as stocking stuffers for my older children and will be getting them for many friends and family members as well. I’m extremely happy with this purchase!

Although these do not guarantee complete safety, women still need to know how to stay safe in their communities. Nevertheless, this is a useful tool to have, as it is easy to use and emits a very loud sound.
