Small, but a great deterrent if things feel hinky
It small enough to attach to a key chain, but if you pull the pin, it’s super loud and has a strobe light. I feel safer with it.

Perfect size. Quality is A+. Pin is snug enough that u don’t accidently set off alarm which was a concern yet it is easy to pull pin if needed & replaces easily as well. The bright light & noise level gives me security which is priceless! Very satisfied with my purchase!

This device is worthy as an additional emergency device to pepper-spray, taser, car alarm, etc… I would suggest a more powerful and rechargeable battery. Is it loud enough and bright enough to do the job? I imagine it will depend on whether it’s used indoors or outdoors and the ambient noise level around a person. I think I would prefer a small air horn personally, but that’s not convenient to carry around. There will always be questions about effectivity and compromises made. No matter where a person stores an emergency device, is it going to be the right place with easy fast access when needed?

The Hootie Personal Alarm is well worth the price as safety for anyone that travels alone or ventures out alone. It is very loud and easy to set off if faced with a potential molester or just uneasy in an isolated area. Hang it on your belt loop, purse, keychain or on a chain around your neck using the enclosed carabiner hook. The price is very convenient, especially if purchasing more than one. We bought 6 with 2 of them free, to be given to ourselves and our granddaughters. Battery life is supposed to be for a year and is replaceable by 2 button batteries.

When I finally managed to pick it up from Purolator the item itself is greatThe problem was with the delivery carrier driver who claimed to try and deliver but didn’t. I was home, there was no buzz on my intercom system and no notice of missed delivery and where to pick up. I only found 5 days later when Amazon asked me to review an item I had not received.

Do not buy. This is a joke, it makes a little tweetiing sound which will not scare of anything, human or predator. Tried it on our local fox and he just sniffed at it. Good for scaring squirrels. WE bought 2 and have thrown them away.
