This product is a new release and I am blown away by its performance! It was so impressive that after testing it out, I immediately reordered and have 2 more on the way. There are many competing models available which I haven’t used, so unfortunately I can’t offer a comparison. However, I can confirm that it heated my tap water from room temp to 212 degrees in 5 minutes. I had filled it to the max line, and once heated, I then poured it into a measuring cup. It provided approximately 12.5 oz (a little over 1.5 cups) of boiling water. The LED touch button feature is user friendly, easy to read, and offers 4 different temperature settings. As the water heats, there is a little noise from the unit, but nothing unexpected or overly loud. In addition, the LED display lets you know the current water temperature as it changes. One of the features that attracted me to this unit was the carry handle, which I definitely like and also found helpful when opening the hot canister. The handle kept my hand a short distance away from the lid opening and offered just a touch of protection against the steam burning my hand. The outside of the canister was a little warm after heating, but not so hot that I couldn’t hold it. Also, the power cord is removable, and the port has a protective cover which allows it to be completely portable. I just received this unit today so I haven’t tested it to see how many hours it will keep the water hot. It is stainless steel, so I expect it to perform well.I have purchased this unit for travel purposes and think it is going to surpass my expectations. After travelling recently, I found that the hotels are no longer offering coffee or tea in the room. I’m not sure if it is a cost cutting measure, or simply a result of Covid-19, but this water heater will certainly fill the void. This unit is light weight and fairly compact thus easy to pack in my luggage. I intend to bring both tea and coffee along on my upcoming trip. Obviously tea bags have been a staple for many years, but now there are a few different brands packaging coffee singles in similar bags, as well as the pour over style coffee available in individual bags. This is certainly better than wandering around a hotel lobby in your P.J.’s searching for your morning fix. Plus, the airlines are so restrictive with the luggage weight, that this is a great solution.So far there isn’t anything negative that I can say about this unit, but I do recommend that the manufacturer offer this in a variety of colors. The white looks good now, but we all know white gets dirty fast, so I’m sure it’s just a matter of time. Also, for some reason the seller has restricted purchases to one unit at a time. Thus, you will need to place multiple orders if you want more than one unit. Neither of these issues are deal breakers for me.Kudos to some great engineeering & double thumbs up! 👍 👍

Better than I expected
Got this to make coffee when traveling. It worked GREAT.It’s sturdier than I expected based on reviews I read. Really like the simple operation – touch the “Touch Switch” spot just under the digital display and toggle between several heat settings. It gets started right away. The cap has a pressure relief design that allows some steam to escape (very important for safety) – so be careful! Do not put your hand on top of the lid to unscrew it when the unit is done heating. It is a little awkward to get the top off which is one reason for a 4 start rating instead of 5. There really isn’t any way to unscrew this without grasping across the top of the lid so I place a kitchen towel over the lid to do so.The other reason for a 4 star rating is that while the sleek tall design of this is very aesthetic, when you go to unscrew the top, do not wobble it or very hot water will leak out onto the hand you are using to stabilize the canister while you unscrew the top with the other. It’s just a trade off for a slender form factor.Once it’s done heating, it beeps, and then the temp will begin to fall – so you need to stay near. It’s not a unit that maintains the temp of the water. If you get distracted and your water cools off, you need to unplug it and plug it back in to start heating again – the temperature toggle will not turn back on without this reset in my experience.You are going to get some scale in the bottom if you let the water that you don’t decant evaporate while the unit is hot unless you are using 100% pure water without any minerals of any kind in it… If a little scale bothers you, or if you are using hard water, don’t pour off all the heated water – leave about a 1/2 inch in the bottom & let it cool. Then pour that out when the unit is cooled. This will keep the minerals in your water IN YOUR WATER rather than left behind after the water has evaporated off into steam.

Good until it wasnt
I really liked this kettle. It’s compact enough to carry back and fourth to work, heated quickly and there wasn’t boiling water coming out the top like some of the reviews I’ve seen from other kettles/reviews. BUT, I cleaned it out when I first received it and after the first use there are black spots in the bottom of it like mold.
