I had no idea how it will work in person. I could not figure it out from the picture. I really could not believe something this small can keep a big door safely closed/ locked. But it does!SO SUPER EASY TO USE!I just had to open the door fully, insert it in the way of the door lock by grabbing it by the little grabber,close the door, insert the coin. done.THE DOOR WON”T OPEN!As long as you have this thingy inserted, no matter if they manage to open the lock the door won’t openbeyond the coin block because it is physical impossibility to do so. The metal is so solid it would takethe door to break before you could break this thing.ADDED SECURITYIt made an overnight at the hotel stay much safer. If you don’t trust the locks, they keys and the latches,this is really something. A latch can leave a space for the people to see you, this thing won’t let the dooropen at all.PRICESo super friendly. Comparing to many other devices I looked at this was so inexpensive and worked better then those others.SOLIDIt is very sturdy and solidFITS MOST DOORSI tried many doors to see how it will work and it really works with the most doors. Small and simple
It is compact and feels sturdy. It’s a little heavy, but I guess I wouldn’t trust a lightweight one. Packs flat & fits in every door I’ve tried. A great little bit of extra security when I travel.Update: Worked in all our vacation rentals in Italy – even some really old little houses. Every trip I’ve used this my friends have asked where I got it. It’s so much easier to carry than the others (small and flat) and it keeps that door shut. Could SWAT break it? Yeah, prob… I’d bet the door would break first. But some rando is gonna be stopped or really slowed down. Great little ALL METAL addition to our security in vacation rentals – when you just don’t know who else might have a key.

Works Great in High School Bathrooms
I haven’t had much success using these at hotels while traveling. What I use this most for is when I am substitute teaching and need to use the high school bathrooms. Many of my local schools have horrifying bathrooms. This was added to my pouch of toilet seat covers, travel toilet tissues, alcohol swabs, and poo spray.

Easy to just shake off! Not safe at all!!
I first gave this a really good review but I’m changing it bc i know it’s defective! I was just messing with this lock on my door and i realized if i just yanked back and forth on the door, not even that hard, I can shake the lock right off!!!This shakes the pin off, that is like the actual “blocking” of then it’s pretty easy for the flat strip to get shook out of your door jam. Just a few more shaking on the door and DROP…And you’re inside, just that fast.So if you didn’t lock the handle, there’s NOTHING to keep someone out! Scary!And i was able to shake it out in about 3-4 firm pulls and yanking back and forth and 💥, the pin fell out in less than about 2 mins, then tank the flat part out a

Ideal travel tool
The small size is ideal, doesn’t take up room in an overstuffed carry-on bag. The two pieces are attached with a sturdy cord so I don’t lose it misplace a piece. I’ve tried a comparable product that attached its two pieces with something that wore out so I was always fumbling with ‘fixing’ it. This cord is sturdy, perfect length, and flexible so there’s no ‘right way’ to fold it up.It also comes with a convenient pouch which makes it easy to find and grab quickly out of a bag with lots of stuff in it. Without the pouch, it would be easy to overlook. (That sounds insignificant but trust me, it’s a nice bonus.)Compared with what I’ve tried before, this is easier to use, smaller, simpler, and durable. For someone who flys somewhere every week for work, it’s ideal! I highly recommend!

It didn’t come with a pouch, and the ‘claw’ is not on the right side. And it’s sent from China without an Amazon packaging, which I find weird as it could have been stated on the product page.If I can’t even lock my room at home, how can I lock the hotel room?Don’t buy.

This is exactly what I needed to feel less vulnerable over night. Door is secure! Super Simple and easy to use. Recommended (Right to left opening inward door) Note to delivery driver- package was left in letterbox at the top of the drive- no problem except you noted it was left beside the front door.

I bought the lock to feel much safer and less anxious in hotels or at home, and it was an excellent choice! The device is sturdy, compact, and extremely easy to operate. It fits most doors, and installation takes 2 seconds especially fast when you get used to it no special skills needed. You can’t see from the other side that the lock is there. But you have to open it to take it in and out.Once engaged, this lock has the great feeling of security in that the door could not be opened even with a key. What I like, though, is that it does not sacrifice safety for security. Firefighters could easily gain access if an emergency necessitated it, by using tools-designed for such occasions-such as Halligan bars or door-breaching equipment. That extra reassurance makes this device perfect for personal safety without compromising emergency access.It is light, portable, and ideal for traveling, apartments, or any situation where one is in need of a quick and effective layer of security. I highly recommend this for anyone desiring to feel safer, yet not overcomplicate things!
