Loud! Must have!
I attached it to my pepper spray which I clip to the interior you know that water bottle area of every car door – so when I open the car people see the spray or if I need the spray it’s at arms length. That way it’s a double deterrent – if the sound doesn’t scare someone away, the spray follows.

Its never been used but the alarm sound is very loud . Praying it never has to used as it was purchased for my daughter who recently went out on her own in the big city.

Ok, but not fail safe.
Not as loud as I thought it would be. Got one for my girlfriend and one for me just to mess around with. I think if you are getting raped in a small room this would be loud enough to get the attention of others in the room… But see, there’s the problem, most rape or sexual abuse happens either in a large area, or in a closed off area where others can’t hear. This device doesn’t excel in these areas. The three or four times I set this off in my dorm, no one came to see if everything was ok. I do think this device has it’s applications tho. For example. Attach to the inside of a purse and while walking through a bad part of town grip the keychain. If someone were to grab your purse the alarm would go off inside the purse. You might be able to see how this could be a good thing. I also think there are some non emergency uses that are good! My roomates alarm doesn’t wake him up; I Pull the alarm. I want to deafen someone on Skype; I pull the alarm. You can imagine the uses. Anyways…Get this if you are in need of a non fail safe rape whistle, or just want a fun device to play with. If you really want to be safe in a dangerous environment get informed with self defense, and maybe carry pepper spray.

Efficient Alarm
I was home alone for two weeks, and I wanted something to have with me just in case something were to go wrong. I’m pretty paranoid, so I wanted to get this alarm for some piece of mind. At first, I was afraid to trigger it because I didn’t know how loud it would be or if it would even work. That being said, it pulls off easily and produces a loud, sharp noise. It’s also easy to reattach the chain so the alarm stops. I keep it on my keys, which I either have on me or next to my nightstand table. I don’t know what the two button-looking things are on it, but even though they’re pointless I don’t mind them. The design is simple, and it’s small which is a plus. I hope I don’t have to use this, but it’s a nice gadget to have.

This item did not work when I first received it. I pulled the pin and silence . after pressing on the battery compartment it made a dull sound but nothing grand. After placing the pin back into the device and removing it beeped louder I checked batteries and tried to replace them. But this time the device made a strange buzzing sound even though the pin had NOT been pulled.. Amazon sent a replacement because of this issue. The second one actually worked immediately and is very loud. Its a good device if you get one that isn’t faulty. There are no buttons on the item. U do have to pull fairly hard to remove the pin.

Danger Alert !!
I got it as a Xmas gift for my cousin because she’s a girl. When she gets it the train from schools it’s pretty late. Incase she runs in to any troubles she can alert people nearby by sounding the alarm. she hasn’t got a chance to put it into action but she feels more safe walking home at night from the train station. She thank me and said she loves this gift.

Great product. Light weight and discrete. I have it on my keychain for when I go for walks by myself with my baby. Tested it at home and it’s very loud, also not easy to pull the chain by mistake which is what I wanted.
