    Life-savers for accordion closet doors.
These are awesome. Easy to install, and so simple. They work really well on our doors, and the size adjusters helped make them fit. Super easy to remove as well.

Perfect and so easy to use!
So, I got this product because of my cats rather than a child (currently pregnant so I am sure it will still be in use in the future!). It works perfectly to keep my cats out of the closets I do not want them in such as a pantry and my linens closet. It fits perfectly too on average size accordion doors, however if you have thicker than normal doors, I don’t believe it will fit. It is perfect for 1 1/3-inch widths, it does not scratch the paint and is fairly easy to move on that measurement, for anything thicker you would want to look into an alternative like this. The slides come with this little plastic stick you are supposed to use to move it, however it is very flimsy and easier just to move the slide itself (I am 5’8 so I find this option easiest as I can reach it and place it exactly where I want it to be). If you are on the shorter side, it is still moveable by the stick, but the stick doesn’t go down far for obvious reasons so be aware of that. Another great thing about this product is that even if a child, or in my case a cat, pulls at the door relentlessly and even shakes it the slide does not move. It stays in place under a lot of stress; however, it is plastic so keep in mind it is not indestructible. Overall, I think this is a great product for the price of it and has made keep my cats out of trouble very easy!

Worked great on our doors, but slightly different colors.
I know they’re clear, so how can clear be different colors? Some of them had almost a smoky, gray tint to them, while some had an almost amber tint, while some were completely clear. So, the highly visible doors all received clear locks, and I tried to make matching pairs with the rest. I didn’t take a star off for this because these things have saved my sanity. I love them, and they could be orange with green stripes and I’d still put them on every bi-fold door in my house.I knew from readind the description and reviews that only one came per package, so I wasn’t surprised by that.As for their efficacy, SPOT ON! Ha! Take THAT, tiny toddlers! For the first time in a long time, I felt like I had successfully won some sort of battle against my kids in their efforts to get into every nook and cranny of our home and destroy everything in their paths. That’s probably a little overly dramatic, and my kids aren’t evil Bond villains, but the bi-fold doors in our home (14 total) had become a major pain. First, there’s the fact that they are easily find operated by a toddler. And once they find something they can operate, they do it over and over and over, which means that every closet door in the house was being opened and closed on a constant. And then there’s the finger pinching. Admittedly, after they did that a couple of times, they stopped doing it to themselves, but they would occasionally still do it to each other on accident. And then there’s the access to the items behind the bifold doors. In our home, that includes all of their clothes (YAY! Time to empty the cubbies and pull clothes off hangers!), the toys we have for them that they are not yet old enough to play with (YAY! Time to play with power cords and stuff with lots of small pieces!), our food (YAY! Time to dump the cookies on the floor!), the vacuum and other cleaning supplies (YAY! This Dyson cost $600. Let’s try to climb it and knock it over! Here–whack me with this Swiffer broom!), and every towel, blanket, and article of clothing we own that is not currently in use or being worn (YAY! YAY! YAY!). NIGHTMARE. It was driving me nuts.My house was built in Florida in 2006, so my bi-fold doors are the white, wood ones with the cathedral style doors (not louvered), and these fit on them perfectly. No shims needed, no adjusting doors necessary. I’m 5’5″, and I also found I had no need to use the stick handle part, I can easily reach the lock to slide it to the side. And it’s seriously the easiest installation ever: I opened the door, put the lock piece on top of the door, closed the door, and slid the lock in place. That’s it. Took all of three seconds, Fantastic.I love you, bi-fold door lock. You are awesome.

    Very Effective!
These little things really work! You just open the door and pop them on and your done! They slide easily over the hinge part of the door and slide out of the way when you need in. They come with a little shim that has two different sizes if your doors are not thick enough to hold the slide in place. They look a little flimsy but they do the trick. They only thing I didn’t like about them was the little plastic handle they give you to pull it back and forth. It hangs down through a lip on the bottom edge of the slide and it is very cheap and flimsy. I wouldn’t recommend using this part if you can reach the slide with your hand for fear it would snap. It keeps the doors almost completely closed but they do move a little and little fingers could still be pinched in the hinge part of the door if they are leaning on it when the doors close tight again. My 8 year old is too short still to reach the slide so he uses a plastic toy bat to move the slide and it doesn’t leave marks on the doors. Also, if you are looking for a way to keep animals out of the closet you can install it on the bottom of the doors and just use your foot slide it back and forth. Very simple design, easy to use and very effective at keeping pets and babies out.

    Works great for cats too
I don’t have kids but I actually used these for my cat and they worked great for cabinets or closet doors that close but don’t have a magnet or latch. Kept him out for years so I would use them again!

    Bless
So glad these exist. Now my children need help to open the closet and remove toys, and their room is no longer a land mine of toys all day everyday. I can easily enforce putting toys away to get another set of toys out. Bless!! Very easy to use.

    Works, But Feels Flimsy
Does the job of locking bi-fold doors, but the plastic feels a bit weak. Wouldn’t rely on it for long-term heavy use.

Helps keep the bifold yard door from opening up when I’m hanging out my laundry (it gets windy, and the lock on the yard door is faulty) We live in a high rise with 2 cats and this stops them from inadvertently entering the yard when the windows are wide open. Has given me much peace of mind.

Simple, affordable and it works (as long as you remember to use it!). Got it to keep my dog out of the recycling and it works great. Also pretty sturdy considering how many times we forget about it and try to open the closet with it locked.

Our bathroom door slides and our puppy just burst into it to open it. The slide-lok has been very handy in keeping him out even when he runs towards the door, so it is very sturdy. Definitely recommend it if you have a very persistent and sneaky dog.

This is one of the most important safety features you should have in your home if you have babies. It installs in a second, it’s the easiest thing to use. most importantly will prevent you child from a devastating injury.Honestly put them on every single bi-fold door you have in your home.
