Definitely an upgrade
I have seen this style of lock before, but never a portable/travel version. The is a major upgrade compared to those travel locks that have the little plastic locking bit on a chain attached to the metal plate. This definitely feels much more solid than those things. I think it’s worth the price difference.It took me a couple of tries to get it situated properly. It does wiggle a little bit, but it still feels secure. It probably wouldn’t move at all if the little adjustment dial went out just a tiny bit farther, or even if the little black grippy pad was a little thicker, but it does do the job.

Good Quality, Clever Design, and works!
pretty neat concept. Something a little different. Seems to be made of decent quality. A little confusing to figure out onm your own but the instructions are easy to understand and come with clear, colored pictures (not illustrations) I tried it on an inside door. It worked well but was a little loose as i think the door might have been a little too thin and even with the adjustment all the way in the closed position, it still had some play in it, but I think maybe an exterior door that is a little bit thicker would work great. make sure your strike plate is in good condition. I have a rental where the door has been kicked in (Im assuming) (also its just an inside door so im not worried about it) so the striker plate doesnt sit right and and the lock is designed to fit in it neatly as long as it is in tact. overall Its a great design and nice that it requires no drilling. Would be great for someone who needs a quick temporary lock overnight or a similar scenario.

Nifty item for home or travel!
This is a cool little gadget! I like having the ability to add an extra layer of security for anyone getting in or one of the babies potentially getting out. It installed pretty easy and has a decent adjustment to tighten up against the door. The overall quality is medium to low and durability and feel is about the same. As an added layer of protection it is nice though!
