Buy this mug!
This is the best coffee mug I’ve ever owned. It holds 12 ounces, fits under any Keurig machine, and feels comfortable in my hand. It keeps coffee hot for a good amount of time, and has a rubber pad on the bottom, preventing the mug from sliding on any surface. My favorite feature, though, is the rim, which is both sturdy and thin, thus, giving me drip-free sipping. I highly recommend this mug and even bought a second one!

Meets All of Our Standards
I bought three of these but two of the lids have been misplaced. I would like to get one to replace one of them as hubby lost the Silver and Black cup.Mine is not holding heat like it first did, but I like the size and the capability of carrying it easily. I would still buy it again, if it were available. They don’t sell my style anymore, which was the Hawaiian Blue. This really is a gift my husband can and does appreciate. He has delegated his other travel cup to use for water only. I’ll tell you why.I have listed the pros and cons so you can make an informed decision.Pros:Does not leak!Easy to cleanNo metal aftertasteRight size for his and my handHas a texture that keeps it from slipping. His is the blue with black stripes and is smooth. The lid screws on easilyThe drink hole is not too deep or shallowKeeps coffee hot for over 4 hrs. and still warm for around 2 moreColor is exactly as pictured: I got the Hawaiian Blue.ConsThere aren’t any except I wish I could have found one in Purple., but I can add something to it in any style I want. So we will see.

Never spills when knocked off table!
This is my second Mira 16oz cup. I love the screw on lid. Spout is easy to drink from and is dishwasher safe! My cup has been knocked off tables at work and NEVER spills! Love this cup! Oh, and it does a great job of keeping my coffee hot!

Just as good as Starbucks
I had been looking for a solid leak free travel mug for awhile. This one is a fraction of the cost of a Starbucks one, but I have to say it feels to me of the same quality. I have kids who have dropped it several times and it’s still holding up extremely well. Mine does not leak nor have I had any issues with it leaking. Keeps my hot liquids hot for 4+ hours and cold liquids cool even longer. It feels comfortable in my hand and I dont fear it slipping out either.Easy screw on and off cap.I really have no complaints at all. I actually bought a second one two weeks later.

Not too big and doesn’t leak
They keep stuff hot for a long time and they fit in car cupholders. I’ve gotten 3 of them so far, 1 was dented and had a cracked lid but amazon sent a replacement the next day.

Great small base for older cars, taper up is easy for small hands, Super Find!
Sweet mysteries of life I have finally found thee! Great cup and rare combination of narrow base to fit in older cars, like C6 Corvette with small cupholder. Small diameter with taper upwards is easier to grasp with smaller hands. Having multiple sizes good also. I boiught the 12 ounce and will likely pick up the 20 ounce also. High quality manufacture, just right snap open cover seal. I must add that the first one I bought leaked, thought “oh, drat” and returned it annoyed. But thought, this is a very top reviewed product, bought another, and am now in heaven. It is possible that I did not have the first one tight enough, but maybe just a QC hickup. Just get one, youj will like it!

UPDATED: Leaks (and other issues)
[UPDATE]I managed to fix the leak in the gasket; adding one star.Upon closer inspection with a magnifying glass, I realized that the shape of the gasket is like a “V” – pointy at the bottom, and with an open groove along the top. See photo. The reason that my gasket was twisting into a weird shape and, in turn, not sealing well, was that the groove was closed up at various places around its circumference. By stretching the gasket and running my fingernail through the groove a few times, I was able to break the groove open uniformly. Now, the gasket springs into a circular shape automatically, and does not leak when installed properly.Regarding the leak around the drinking hole, the jury is still out. It may be the case that liquid is pooling around the hole after drinking, and subsequently dripping out. The behavior is intermittent, and I haven’t made a final determination yet. In either case, the flip top does not snap closed tightly. This is probably fine for normal use, but I wouldn’t put it in my bag with liquid inside, like I did with my old mug. Finally, I’ve found that the underside of the lid is difficult to clean because there are corners that I can’t reach with a sponge. See photo. The other travel mug that I just purchased is flat underneath, which makes it easier to clean.[ORIGINAL]I’ve been looking for several years for a leakproof, flip-top travel mug to replace a pair of outstanding Starbucks mugs that I was given as a gift about 15 years ago, but whose tops have started shedding rubber as it’s aged. I finally settled on two – one of which was this Mira mug.I had high hopes based on the reviews – and anticipated essentially unlimited use into the future, because Mira sells replacement lids on their website. Unfortunately, after one day of use, I know that I’ll never use this mug again; there is almost nothing I like about it. My observations are:POSITIVE+ It has a grippy rubber base.+ The paint job looks nice.NEUTRALo Mira sells replacement lids – which is one of the primary reasons I chose this mug. But, the lid is the primary problem (see below), so…NEGATIVE- Liquid leaks from the drinking hole, because the flip top does not seal tightly. If I hold it shut, it won’t leak. But, it doesn’t clip shut tightly enough on its own.- It leaks from various places around the lid gasket, unless the gasket is seated *just* right. That’s true for any gasket, but…- The gasket is incredibly thin, flimsy, and asymmetrical, all of which makes it difficult to reinstall properly after cleaning. The gasket twists into strange shapes once removed from the cup; it seems to have some sort of memory of another shape from when it was manufactured – but it’s not the shape of the lid. Reinstalling the gasket requires using fingernails, which I have long on one hand, and trimmed to the skin on the other, for playing guitar. If I trimmed all of my nails short, I don’t think I’d be able to get the gasket to seat correctly (or probably even remove it in the first place).- The lid is smooth, and requires copious tightening to prevent leaks. The former makes the latter difficult.- The cup is tall and skinny. It is prone to tipping, and feels too small in my hand compared to any other travel mug I’ve used. I have big hands, though, so this might feel better to others.- The diameter of the lid is small, and the rim is thick, which feels weird to drink from. It feels more like drinking from a narrow-necked reusable water bottle than from a travel mug.- As others have reported, my nose hits the flip top when drinking, especially toward the end of the beverage. I had this problem with my old mug, too, but not with the other new one that I just bought (Rubbermaid Leak Proof Flip Lid Thermal Bottle, 16 oz.).- The outside of the mug is slipperier than I like, and than I would expect given the powdercoat-style textured surface. It’s nearly cylindrical until you get to the flare at the top. Even the flare transitions gradually. Basically, I find it hard to hold without focusing on gripping it tightly, especially with weight of a full beverage. I’d prefer a conical shape (think pint beer tumbler), or a ridge, or something to grip. Alternatively, bare, brushed steel would provide more grip than the paint.I’ve spent so many hours looking for a mug, and was so happy to have found this one when I ordered it, that I’m especially disappointed in it’s poor performance. I’ll find some use for it, but it’s definitely not going to be my daily drinker.

It’s the only stainless steel 12 oz mug I’ve come across that has a proper seal on the lid. Only downsides are it’s a bit tall for some coffee machines and that it ships from the US making it pretty pricey.
