Works great.. for the most part
So here’s my situation. My toddler refuses cold milk. Like, full meltdown mode if it’s not warm. And when we’re out running errands or on a road trip? That gets complicated fast.I picked up this Ellie bottle warmer mostly out of desperation, and it’s been living in my diaper bag for about three weeks now. The thing actually works really well… with one annoying catch I’ll get to.First, the good stuff. It heats up bottles in about 3 minutes, which is pretty much what they promise. When you’ve got a cranky kid losing it in the backseat, those 3 minutes feel eternal, but it’s still faster than stopping somewhere to find hot water. The battery lasts forever too. I’ve gone multiple days without charging it, using it maybe twice a day, and it just keeps going.It fits perfectly in a cup holder or tucked into my bag, and I haven’t had any leaks even when it’s been knocked around. The stainless steel feels solid, not like some cheap plastic thing that’ll crack the first time you drop it. There’s a little safety lock on it too, which has saved me more than once when little hands try to grab it.Here’s the problem though, and it’s kind of a big one. The temperature display is a liar. It’ll say the milk is ready, show you that perfect 98 degrees, and then you pour it out and it’s barely lukewarm. You end up waiting another few minutes past when it says it’s done, which defeats the whole “fast heating” thing when your kid is screaming.
