Convenient and Easy to Clean
I really like this health pot. It’s very easy to use and clean, and the capacity is just right for one person. I often use it to make red date and goji berry tea for my daughter. Now that I’ve taught her how to use it, she can make it by herself too!

Great design, good support; smell issue
Good:- Convenient, lovely design, the glass looks nice and seems to be of good quality, the kettle size is just right.- Boils water pretty quickly.- Great customer support! I contacted them 4 months after use for the smell issue, they were very responsive and ultimately sent me a replacement item for free.Bad:- The lid is tight, so it can be dangerous when you try to open it right after boiling water or cooking. Same with the plug.- Have to be careful when cleaning to not let water into the connector part.- The smell. There’s a rather strong plastic-like smell that leaks into your drink when cooking. I’ve tried washing it multiple times and soaking both the kettle and the lid in baking soda for hours to no avail.I think the smell comes from the silicone seal around the lid. It gets worse when cooking because of high temperature. I’ve found that removing the silicone part is an acceptable workaround: my water no longer tastes like plastic; although the lid wouldn’t stay on properly anymore so it takes longer to cook and poses a higher risk if it tips over. I wish they would change their silicone material to address the problem, but for now this works well enough for me.Overall I really like the product, its compact glass design is one of a kind.

Excellent customer service!
The mini kettle I bought a little over a year stopped working a week ago. For the past year, I used it about 2-3 times/day, 3days/week. I absolute loved this right sized, multifunctional nice looking kettle. I called the customer service and they responded very quickly, and followed up effectively. After they determined the issue can’t be resolved, they sent me a replacement even the warranty was 2 weeks past due. I will keep buying and would recommend Buydeem to everyone!

Imparts horrible toxic taste to water
Listen to the other reviewers who tell you that this kettle imparts a chemical/plastic taste to the water and DO NOT PURCHASE! I was seduced by the design of this kettle because it is very aesthetically pleasing to me and it perfectly suits my nomadic lifestyle needs, and I so badly wanted the other reviewers to be wrong or mistaken, but unfortunately they are right. I used it at least ten times, always using fresh filtered water, hoping that the bizarre chemical taste would dissipate eventually, but it never did. Even when I added strong tea to the water, you could still detect the chemicals as a horribly distinct after-taste. I don’t trust US regulators to protect consumers from toxic exposures, Chinese regulators even less so, and there is perhaps nothing more fundamental to our health than clean water. Something is obviously leeching into this water and I do not believe it can be safe to drink. DO NOT BUY!!! The crazy thing is that this company markets this for a healthy lifestyle! Yes it is super cute and well-designed and perfect for travel, but do not sacrifice your precious health for the sake of convenience!

I love it. I love it. I also bought the case because I had planned on traveling. It’s still in perfect condition. It shows pictures of soup cooking but it’s not ideal. It’s too hard to clean. Hot water for everyone.

Very Compact and Useful
I am using this product to heat up food and boil water for coffee in my RV. It is quick and pours nicely. Perfect little appliance. The only complaint I have is the confusing directions in the instruction book. And all the videos online are in Chinese! This is unfortunate as this is quite a unique and useful product. Americans are used to something being either a “coffee maker” or a “small cooker” but not both. It is a foreign idea to us to use an appliance as a cross between a “coffee maker” and a “small cooker.” It needs some further explanation to reveal its true functionality which Americans would enjoy, if only they knew!

Works great, has electrical/metallic taste
I truly adore this in all ways possible except for taste. The three temperature settings work well, the warming feature is nice and consistent and the quality seems high. I’ve washed this out too many times to count, and still when I heat up the water, it leaves the water with a sort of electrical smell and taste, I’m not sure how else to describe it. I’m hoping it will wear off, I’ll update if it does. No news is bad news in this case.

I purchased this to take with me to my trip as I don’t trust the hotel kettles to boil water for my baby. I also wanted a kettle that can boil water for more than 2 minutes since Health Canada recommends boiling questionable water sources for 2-5 min for preparation of baby formula. Here’s my first impressions:Pros:1) I only just received this and tried to boil water. So far it does it’s job and boils 600 mL in about 10 minutes. And the water is definitely boiling for over 5 minutes so that reassures me as a mother.2) the glass seems of good quality3) it’s aesthetically pleasingCons1) Power cord is way too short.2) 3 prong plug so u may want to take an adapter with you in case u can’t find one in the hotel rooms3) This is the biggest con— the glass pitcher doesn’t detach from the base. I imagine this might be a hassle to clean because you can’t submit the entire unit in water. For a kettle that is advertised as a “miny cooker”, I would have wanted the glass pitcher to be removable and washable in the sink. If I heat my baby’s food or make porridge, it will be a hassle to clean it and stressing not to get water damage to the base.I will update my review after my trip for durability and how it holds up longterm

Pros:- Very compact. I used it on my office desk and it hardly took up any space- Pretty color- Lid has a mesh filter- Temperature/Time reference label on the glass- Comes with a cute content rich recipe bookCons:- Max 600ml. Personally not enough for me, that’s the reason why I returned and got a 800ml one which is still compact- The smell/taste: Took many boiling sessions to get rid of the strange taste. It’s almost a “sweet” taste which puzzled me. No it wasn’t from the water because it didn’t have the same taste when boiled with another kettle- The power cord is very short- It takes about 15 mins to boil 600ml of room temperature water

I recently purchased the Travel Electric Kettle, hoping it would be a convenient addition to my travel essentials. However, I was deeply disappointed with this product, and it didn’t live up to my expectations. Here’s why I’m giving it a one-star review:Strong Plastic Smell: Upon unboxing the kettle, I was immediately greeted with a strong plastic smell emanating from the body of the kettle. Despite washing it multiple times, the unpleasant odor persisted. It was not only off-putting but also raised concerns about the kettle’s overall safety and material quality.Small Capacity and Heavy Design: The kettle’s capacity is surprisingly small, barely sufficient to make a single cup of hot water. This limitation makes it impractical for any situation where more than one person needs a hot beverage. Additionally, considering it’s marketed as a “travel” kettle, the weight is surprisingly heavy, making it a burden to carry in my luggage.Lengthy Heating Time: The heating time for this electric kettle is incredibly slow, taking over 10 minutes to reach a boil. This extended duration defeats the purpose of having a travel kettle, as it ends up being less efficient than a traditional stove or microwave.Forced Purchase of Expensive Protective Sleeve: The kettle’s material is made of glass, which is inherently fragile. To avoid potential breakage during travel, the manufacturer recommends purchasing an expensive protective sleeve separately. This additional cost and requirement to purchase an extra accessory felt like an unnecessary inconvenience.Overall, due to the overwhelming plastic smell, small capacity, heavy design, lengthy heating time, and the forced purchase of an expensive protective sleeve, I have decided to return the Travel Electric Kettle. It failed to meet even the basic requirements of a travel kettle, and I cannot recommend it to others looking for a reliable and efficient solution for hot water on the go.
