Good price, good quality!
These work great, super easy to put on the door and feel extremely sturdy. My wife and I took the on vacation and keeps the door from budging when the frame is flat with the door. I haven’t purchased the other type of door lock that’s more popular, but these seemed much sturdier than videos I’ve seen.

Worth the money
They work well. The plastic pieces that are on the ends to protect the wood, fall off easily so it would be worth it to glue those on right away. Otherwise these locks accomplished what I needed which is an added layer of security for my old door that doesn’t latch as well as I would like.

Very secure but leaves small dents in the wooden frame
Good quality seem very secure. However they do leave small dents in the wood. They fit one of my doors better than the other but both are very secure.I have a key lock on one door and using these has changed how the door sits in the frame so it has to be pulled to lock now. The regular locks I have seem no change.

Not bad
Only works on inward swinging doors, for my application. This is fine. It’s pretty sturdy and gets the job done for a little portable lock now just like anything else. It can be broken do not expect this to actually stop someone that wants to get into the room. Because with enough force or maybe a few good kicks, this thing is not holding up, but if it’s for you to use with pretty civil people, you should be OK. I like it to have my own privacy as my bedroom door does not have a lock or to use as an extra lock on the bathroom.

Doesn’t work
It doesn’t work at all on my front door. Once you put the hook into the strike plate that the deadbolt goes into, the deadbolt no longer locks in place. So in other words, the strike plate isn’t large enough for both the bolt and the hook of this device.I will be trying it at hotel later this month though. We’ll see if it works there. It’s mainly why I bought it, because I am usually traveling alone.

It won’t necessarily fit for all lock types, I also don’t think this is designed for residential home doors. Though I’ve had luck where it’s fit for hotels (except for once when it’s not). So in the event it’s not a fit for the hotel door, you usually get 2 doors, a deadbolt and maybe some kind of knob lock or a hand lever lock, in this case the deadbolt is always the most secure. So I use the portal door lock with the knob lock/hand lever lock. There’s a chance that less secure knob won’t completely close like it usually would but that’s fine, now I’ve got the equivalence of two deadbolts.

These are GREAT!! They work super, we have had issues with our door locks and handles in the past when it gets cold, with these we will always be able to keep the door closed AND locked. We also have a patio door that does not fit tight when closed, it does now with these locks. I have a motion light on the door in case of emergency so it’s easier to dislodge if need be. Easy to use also. Wish I knew about these before, pease of mind is priceless. Definetely recommend

This is a good, small device that is easy to take on vacations. It comes with a small cloth carrying pouch. The two ends that make contact with the door and door frame has silicone protectors. Installation is easy enough and when placed on, it’s strong enough to ensure that the door does not open. The only thing I found is that the one silicone tip for the round screw piece comes off easily. Despite that, this does work as it’s supposed to.
