It works great!
I’m completely happy with this purchase. I tested it after charging it and it worked great. The alarm was very loud. There are 2 ways to set off the alarm (button or pulling pin). Both worked. The pin is perfect. Snug enough it’s not going to slip or fall out, but pulls easily enough when you do it. The light works 2 ways. Can be used as a small flashlight if you’re trying to see to put your keys in door of car or house at night – also can strobe – to draw extra attention at night while is alarm us sounding. It should startle someone enough to scare them away, however if it doesn’t the alarm will definitely draw everyone’s attention. I have it clipped to the outside of my purse, but it’s small enough it’s not a problem getting in the way of anything. Since there are 3 in an order, I have given the other 2 to two of my granddaughters. They are glad to have them. They each have jobs where some nights they have to walk out into a dark parking lot when they leave work to get to their car. All 3 of us feel more comfortable having it. The instructions don’t say how long it takes to charge it. Small enough an hour might have been enough, but I charged mine 4 hours to be extra sure. Doesn’t say how long a charge will last but I will test mine periodically and if the alarm seems not quite as loud I will put it on the charger. Very much love that it’s rechargeable so no hassle about changing batteries. I have actually ordered 2 more (which means I’ll get 6 since there are 3 in each box). Can’t wait to get them into the hands of some other family members. Definitely recommend this product.

Bought for gifts which haven’t been given yet . Good reviews, however. So here’s hoping that a good decision has been made. Do like the sounds of how it’s made up and that it is rechargeable for a very reasonable price.

I purchased these for my mom, who’s older and needed something for when she’s out alone for safety. The others are for my college kid..need I saw more than COLLEGE KID! And lastly my kid that works off hours and typically comes and goes and the middle of the night. Great for all ages, simple to use and loud enough to wake or alert someone. Would recommend buying for added layer of safety.

VERY loud and won’t go off by accident
I’ve had a similar product before this one from Sabre, but that one had 4 batteries and it kept going off in my pocket unintentionally, as well as the light would turn on unintentionally and waste the batteries without my knowledge. I got this one so that I can recharge it without having to purchase batteries every few weeks. It’s considerably louder than the Sabre one, and compared to the trigger pull with the Sabre, this one requires more force in order to sound the alarm. I’ve had this for about a week now, only charged it once so far, did not need another charge yet. During this time I did get one unintentional activation by pressing the SOS button, I might try to figure out a way to disable the button. There’s no visible screws, so I don’t think I can open it, so whatever modification I make will need to be external. Very satisfied with this product so far.

Updating my review/ yes I did have the issue below as I received it. However the seller surprisingly, reached out to me after seeing my dissatisfaction about the product, gave me a full refund. Absolutely amazing. I was not expecting this. But this speaks volumes about the reputation & customer care of this seller.///// **** I like having a small alarm key chain but I would be going on with my business and here we go the alarm goes off. Problem is that not easy to turn off. Very annoying.

Prepare to be amazed! Disturbingly loud!
You might want to peek at the instructions before you start pressing buttons. I pressed them before I knew how to turn it off and kept making it louder so much so that it actually hurt my ears. I threw it out the door and closed it and pulled out the instructions real quick. I did it for my adult daughter and it hurt her ears too and she was getting upset wanting me to make it stop. So, I can tell you I can definitely see this as being useful to deter an attack. I don’t know whether it would be possible to stay around this long. It is actually a powerful noise. It is much stronger than I expected.. I’d had something similar like 20 years ago but this thing is louder and disturbing, lol. I highly recommend.

What I like about the alarm is that it’s rechargable via USB (provided in purchase), supposedly requires charging only once per year if not used, has a red light to show it is charging (which was a bonus for me because I thought the version I was purchasing didn’t come with it, has a light, has 2 ways to activate the alarm (by pressing a button twice or pulling a pin out of the device), isn’t easily activated when its kept in a pocket with other items, and fits nicely in the palm of your hand when walking.What I wish was better is the button being more prominent for turning on the light, the light being brighter, the device having some bumps/grooves/rubber so that it doesn’t easily slip out of your hand (although I mitigate this by having my thumb in the key chain), and the pin being a bit easier to pull out.Overall, I’m pleased with the product given how much I paid and the short time I had for its delivery.
