Inside or out – I am able to put the screen on the inside or outside.
I like that the screen could be put inside or outside of the window. Outside allows windows to be rolled up before the screen is removed so that no bugs get in the van. Inside application allows me to partially open windows making the theft of my screens less likely. The fit is tighter and more sleek on the outside, but seems good enough on the inside. They seem well made. I hope they last for years.

We bought the side door, loved it so much and then quickly bought the back door! Looking back we wish we would have bought the combo pack!The bottom of the screens do not attach to your vehicle which I originally thought they did (completely on me). If you are using it as a baby gate/ bug screen I will say a cat can get through the bottom of the side door screen. We attached Velcro along the bottom of it and have not had a problem since!It is great quality and easy instillation! It makes my breath easier knowing bugs cannot just fly into the van! If you are on the fence I would highly suggest you buy it if you are doing van life!! I know it is a little pricey but I genuinely believe it is worth the price!

Messy Install, Poor Instructions
BAD: The install is difficult and the written instructions and videos lack detail. At minimum they need to mention how the plastic cover on the B-pillar affects the fit (so the consumer does not have to learn the hard way)GOOD: The screen looks decent and the magnetic door seems to work well. Hoping I will like it but won’t know until my next trip. Also GOOD, I was able to call the manufacturer and Facetime with a person! Unfortunately, this customer support was too late: after I trimmed the screen which appears to be installed properly until I try to put the B-pillar cover back on!!!

Nice product, but slight design flaw
They work well and are quick to put up and remove, and we love using them on the inside of the doors on our Promaster. But….Right out of the package when we needed the bug nets, bad, in Northern Michigan, we noticed at least 4 very large gaps between the magnets that hold the screen to your door. One gap was over 20 inches of fabric with no magnet allowing mosquitoes and any other insect to come strolling/hovering in. We live full time in our Promaster and have been dealing with it for weeks, while waiting to hear back after emailing Vanessential. Still have not heard back, and have hardly been bug resistant after spending over $70.Update: I found out the magnets are not held in place at all inside the outer perimeter of fabric, allowing them to slide and fall all around inside the fabric. There were spots where 3 magnets were hooked together in one spot. So, I did fix the gap problem, but have had to readjust the magnets every few days again.Overall they are super quick and easy to deploy, just upset about the high price. For $70, I shouldn’t have to make any customizations or repairs to make it functional.

Works better on the inside
These screens are going to be a great addition for airflow until I get my rear bug screen installed. They adhere far better on the inside of my 2021 Ram. The exterior of the window has a rubber trim where the outer edge of the screen sits, so the magnets have nothing to grab. I tried it on the inside, and it’s perfect.I do think they’re a bit expensive, but I’m a loyal Van Essentials customer.

Breeze with an Ease
These front door bug screens are legit! The screen was extremely easy to apply to the driver and passenger door to allow breeze in and keep bugs out. The magnets are very strong and easy to slide in any direction to adjust fit. The screen is see-through to leave attached while driving; personally prefer to look out clear driver’s side window so simply slide the screen down the door frame. Highly recommend this product for anyone wanting to keep bugs out but allow ventilation in.

Very easy to install, they just magnet to the window frame. Perfect fit for my Ram Promaster 1500 xt. Game changer for letting air in and keeping bugs out! I highly recommend!
