Excellent quality, cute, comfortable and fits large heads!
I have a lot of hair and a very large head (24 in), which makes finding cute and comfortable hats very difficult. I was skeptical that this hat would actually fit, but it actually fits well and is very comfortable. I have worn it in the rain and wind and it has held up great. I don’t use the included removeable strap, but it does stay on well with the cinch cord. The quality is excellent and does seem to be waterproof. It also has air vents that keep your head cool on warmer days. Every other had I have owned tends to develop a gross stain from sunblock at the forehead area of the hat. So far there is zero discoloration or darkening. There is also a wire like rim on the brim that is easy to mold (flip up or down), which I really like. I really can’t say enough great things about this hat. I wish there were more colors, but I will likely be buying more.

The ponytail slip in the back of the hat is amazing! I’ve worn this hat many times in the sun have not gotten burnt and I haven’t noticed any new sun spots. I love that it has two ways to adjust the hat to fit and stay on your head.

Decent enough for the price but the rim is pretty floppy
The hat is nice and compact, packs small and washes well. The downside to compact/packs is that the rim is a bit floppy when it is windy. The pony tail slot is super convenient. For the price i paid it worked for what I needed. It was cool enough to keep the sun off my face more than not. And didn’t blow away when the wind was super strong. The straps kept it in place.

Still need sunglasses
This is a well-made hat, and the ponytail hole is a nice feature if you need it (I don’t). I don’t find the brim wide enough to give my face a lot of protection from the sun, and had hoped it would shade my eyes (which are very light sensitive), but the brim is not wide enough so sunglasses are still a must.

While in a cafe in Frankfurt Germany I was asked where I was from. I said California, and the guy said “oh! That’s where you got the hat!” Ambiguous remark. But I love the hat for sun shielding, traveling and feeling good!
