Ultimate sun protection
I am very happy with this purchase, I take it everywhere. I make every effort to keep myself out of the sun, especially my face. I recently traveled to Japan and I noticed that the Japanese people have beautiful skin. I also noticed that they protected their face with similar umbrellas.

Good quality and sun protection
Holds up better than other brands of similar size. Size wise, it fits nice in my hiking pack; would fit in a large purse but not a smaller one.

For my fellow easy burners!
This has become a staple in my going-outside kit. I recently started taking medication that made me heat sensitive and burn easily and many of my favorite outdoor activities have become painful and unbearable. Even with hats and long sleeves and enough sunscreen to coat a rhino, I manage to get hit by the sun and overheat and burn. This has been a pretty dramatic help for me in being able to continue hiking and enjoying walks in the sun. I had used a regular umbrella before and while it helped with some sun, the heat still penetrated and overwhelmed me. This was like holding up a heat block to the sun. The shade is significantly darker than in my regular rain umbrella and I have had no issues with burning while under it. It is small enough that I can keep it in my car or in my bag to be ready for any fun outdoor activity without taking up a ton of space. It’s easy to open and close and I like the shiny futuristic look of it too!

Larger than most compact umbrellas.
This is billed as a compact travel umbrella. It’s well-made, easy to open and feels like a sturdy, well-assembled umbrella. However it’s heavier and longer than most compact umbrellas I’ve run across which makes it not ideal (compared to those) for actual travel. (Takes up more space when packing it and adds more weight to carry around. It’s good to have for local weather but dinging it a star because it’s not ideal for travel.

Smooth Moving Sun Umbrella
This is a nice sun umbrella that I think is better than any regular umbrella during the summer. The fabric is shiny on top so it reflects the suns light. It is a smooth soft fabric that feels different from a regular umbrella. The feel almost reminds me of leather. Then opening up the umbrella also feels smooth and works well. There is some metal in the interior, but it almost looks as if a plastic was used for the structure that holds up the fabric. Looks nice and feels nice. Since it isn’t made with metal on the inside it may not last as long as others, but I think that it is due to the material that opening the umbrella feels smoother than most I’ve used in the past. Time will tell. I will say it is much cooler than other black umbrellas I’ve used to block the sun.
