Great travel desk
Just bought this for a road trip so that my boyfriend and I could work when we traded off. It worked fantastic!The raised edges were great to keep things still, loved the hanging pockets for needed cords and cell phone, and it worked great for his MacBook and my surface. We will probably by another one so we both have one in the camper.

Perfect for use in vehicles
I really like this because of the bags on the sides for pens. markers, bottled water, etc., the hard surface in the bottom, the light weight, and the fold up sides which contain items on the board.When it is loaded, it is difficult to fold up and fasten the latch.

Great for the kids and long car rides
I bought it so I could work from anywhere. Car, bed, soccer field if I have to. It works for what I need. It’s portable and I can take anywhere.It lost a star because all the pockets and everything don’t lay flat. They are stiff, and make it a little bothersome and when using the laptop there isn’t much room for anything else, even the mouse.This would have been a great thing to have when my kid was little to keep him occupied and settled on long road trips or if we were in the park for the day. I could easily see myself packing up all his stuff and keeping it contained.Easy to use, easy to clean and when I pull it put to use people are intrigued. When I tell them it’s my car desk they get a kick out of that.

Flimsy but great concept and convenient!
I see other photos holding the shape well for this product so I hope all it is is that I got a defective product. I requested a replacement so I hope I can update with a good news!I was bummed that the wall is not keeping its shape (despite playing around with positioning velcro differently) and keep folding in when I’m trying to write while it’s on my lap (pretty distracting!) – actually even on a flat surface. I was going to deal with it, but I saw other people’s review and photos not doing this!!Otherwise very convenient and easy fold up. I love all the pockets! Fits my phone well, and bigger pocket on one side helps!I do wish that when it closes it overlaps enough for the content to be covered up… but if they’re normal size paper it won’t escape out of it. I can’t count on carrying it exposed in rainy (even light) weather. Just secure papers in a ziploc or clear folder before closing it in!

This came in handy so much during a 3 day convention. A lot of note taking was needed and I had many compliments and questions on where I got this desk. It held journals pens and my drink perfectly. When it came time for a break I folded down the seat next to me and all was waiting perfectly for me to resume notes. This is useful for car rides, classes without desks, for artists wanting a sketch day. I’m in love!!!!!

Not what I was expecting based on pictures
The picture shows it standing up on its own but it doesn’t do that. The sides make it hard to type so the working area feels small and tight. Great little lap desk for kiddos but for a working adult, I would pass.
