Insert the 2 short poles into the round holes on both sides of the tent body. 4. Thread the ends of the long poles through the round holes of the ground mat and insert into the ground. 5. Insert the ground pegs at the angle of 45-60, tie the windproof ropes adjust the tension of the ropes as needed.

Great for a beach day for two, at an excellent value!
Excellent shade for the beach! The only drawback is that sand tends to cling to the nylon material. Otherwise, this was easy to setup, gave good shade for 2 people, held up well in light to moderate winds at the beach, and was easy to disassemble and roll up to fit back in the original bag. I saw similar shades approaching $100+, but I am very satisfied with how this held up on first use. If it degrades after a few uses I will update, but it seems pretty solid if you’re not overly rough with it.

Sturdy and good value
This is a great value for the price. Sure I wish it was as easy to put together as a shibumi, but being a tenth of the price was more important to us. I was surprised how well it held up in the beach wind; the 8 stakes really supported each other well. It took about 10 minutes to put together our first time & I imagine it will take less time now that we know how & where everything goes. My husband just pointed out that it took 10 minutes but it felt like an hour because he was pretty frustrated, but he’s pretty easily frustrated lol and again, it’s priced accordingly. I read other reviews saying the material didn’t hold up well, but ours looks pretty well made and I don’t see any weak seams.

Poor Construction a
The idea of this shade is great, however the functionality and design is not. The grommet in the bottom broke out of the fabric on the 2nd day of use, leaving the tent pole to connect to the bottom portion through a hole (which will expand) in the fabric.Also to note…this is very hard to assemble and/or break down in any amount of wind. It becomes a flapping sail (with long tent poles ready to poke out your eye!) if there is any wind and you are trying to set it up, or take it down. You will need at least 2 people to put it up or take it down if there is any amount of wind.Lastly, it is near impossible to fold it up and fit it back in the original bag…especially on a sandy beach!For these 3 reasons, this will be returned.

Not bad!
Bought this to use for camping. Wanted something i could set up myself since i was camping by myself. Also wanted something that packed easily and didn’t take up a lot of space and lightweight. This was just right. I didn’t use all the tiedowns but it still seemed sturdy. It is good for a couple of people. Since i was solo it was perfect for what i wanted to use it for at my campsite.I probably could have actually put my tent under it. Take down was easy as well as rolling it and fitting back in bag. In the end I was very happy with the this.The price was good.

Excellent Shelter
The tent is great! It’s sturdy, even against some wind at the beach. We eventually fit 3 adults with chairs in the tent. Assembly is not the easiest but it’s definitely doable. I would highly recommend instead of an umbrella.

Easy setup, quick and compact breakdown. We haven’t used it at the beach yet but we did set it up to check it out and the build quality seems fine. It stores in a small bag that is easy to carry.

Not a fan. It may hold up well in the yard, but wouldn’t recommend it for the beach. Little tiny pieces of sand (inevitable at the beach) getting in the pole joints makes it almost impossible to break down. The spikes etc. to push in to the ground for stability also do not hold up well in the sand.I’d strongly recommend two adults (video shows one man) putting it together if you must buy. Myself and my 11 year old son struggled with it for close to 40 minutes only to end up attempting to take it back down because it wouldn’t stay anchored to the ground. We ended up tearing one of the pieces trying to take it down, and in the end, pulled as many pieces together, put it in a trash bag and chunked it in the closest trash bin. Not worth the money or aggravation.
