Easy to install and operate. Solid!
I bought the 2 pack of these locks (one for the front door and one for the back door) and I love them. They open easily and ‘click’ into the locked position just as easily. They feel very solid and after installing them I believe the 800lbs force resistance claimed.Cons: 1. If I absolutely had to say something bad about them, it’s that because of the manual nature of the lock itself, they can only be locked or unlocked from the inside of the house. If you don’t unlock one of the doors and later want to enter through that door…you can’t. For example, if I forget to unlock the back door and end up out back, I can’t enter the house through the back door without first going in through the front and unlocking the lock from the inside. This is a minor hassle, easily corrected once you’re accustomed to the locks presence, but it’s worth mentioning because the locks work so well that you will absolutely be locked out of any door you don’t pre-open before going out. 2. If you place the lock low enough for a pet or child to reach, the lock could be accidentally locked by an excited pet pawing at the door or a mischievous child and once locked….it can only be unlocked from the inside. INSTALL IT HIGH ENOUGH ON THE DOOR TO PREVENT THIS!Pros: The mechanism is solid and smooth and designed in such a way that is extremely unlikely/if not impossible to be accidentally locked out while you’re away. I.e. I don’t see this lock closing on its own so long as you install it high enough up on the door to prevent pets or children from locking it.Overall, I’m extremely pleased by this purchase and highly recommend it.

Easy to install increased home protection.
Wasn’t looking for door locks but found these during prime days and decided to beef up my exterior doors. One thing to consider before you purchase is whether or not your door has a 1/8” gap at the jamb. You need a slight gap to ensure your door won’t get hung up. If you don’t have a big enough gap, you can still install it, but you will need to chisel out some wood of your jamb. Not too many people want to start carving up their jambs. I certainly don’t.That being said, the locks are solid and seem like really good quality metal. Very simple to install, simply place it the height you want it, mark it off, the mark the center adjust screw. Drill a pilot hole and mount it to your jamb. You can then adjust it to make sure your door will close completely and allow the the lock to fully engage when the door is closed. Once you verify the depth for mounting, you can use the longer screws to mount it to the jamb.Once installed, I went outside and leaned my shoulder into the door and it didn’t budge. Gives me good peace of mind knowing that if someone busts my deadbolt while on vacation, they won’t be able to get in.These locks are definitely a good value for the money. Well designed, easy to install, easy to latch and release, and added defense to your entry doors.

Solid Overall Product, but weak screws
Overall a solid product, but if using an impact drill you can dent the metal. Also the screws provided were weak as two of the screw heads snapped.

Very easy to install though my door jam did require a bit of chiseling so that it sits flush and can close properly. Aside from that it’s just a matter of making sure you have it right side up and drilling in a few screws. All in it took less than 10 minutes to install I really like that the screws it comes with are quite long, about 2 inches.The lock itself is very secure and is great if you have young children who like to sneak out when everyone are asleep. The entire thing is made of metal, with the exception of the rubber pad to protect the door (which is replaceable if it gets worn out!) so it’s very durable.It’s a great option for added security on any inward swinging door, even if you only have an inch or two of wood around a window.
