Great travel option
We got this for when my sister visits with her new little one. Perfect because it’s compact and easy to set up. I didn’t have any issues getting it to open and it fits well on our dining room chairs. If it had been for us when our kids were little, I’d have said it was too expensive. Looking back, though, I held our kids at every event and ever dinner. This would have been so much nicer, even for the price. If I can ease even a little of the burden when she visits, then this is well worth the money.

Nice chair, a bit pricy
My niece has two toddlers and is expecting a third child next month. They will be visiting with us this coming Christmas – but my children are adults now so I have long ago given away our baby/toddler paraphernalia. So, when I first saw this booster seat it reminded me of the old school high chair I had for my kids and I ordered it.When I pulled it out of the box, I was stunned because it’s so tiny. It almost looks baby doll size and I had to laugh out loud. It kinda took some finagling to figure out how to open and close it, but I got there in the end. Unlike what some other reviewers mentioned, this does fit securely on my kitchen and dining room chairs. The height of this booster with the tray attached is high enough that the chair can be pulled right up to the table with the tray about a half inch above the table. There is a slight tilt backward on the dining room chairs but not too extreme to cause the child any discomfort or tilt the tray so the food slides. With my kitchen chairs, there’s no tilt. After their visit, I will probably gift this to my niece. She doesn’t have a dining or kitchen set, just an island with stools. I cannot recall if the stools have backs but if they don’t, then this booster wouldn’t work. However, with three little ones, I’m sure there’s a lot of sitting on the floor and this chair will be perfect there. The chair feels sturdy and durable. It has a weight capacity of 35 pounds, so that should be good for up to 3-4 years old (with or without the tray). The tray is adjustable but only has two settings for distance away from the child. It would be nice if it had more settings. If it fits, the tray can also be washed in the dishwasher.Overall, it’s a nice chair and will work at my dining table for Christmas dinner, but the price point is a bit high compared to other booster chairs.

EXCELLENT VERSATILITY & CONVENIENCEโฆ. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
The quality of this booster seat is excellent! Itโs very lightweight, foldable and compact, & easy and convenient to store. Itโs easy to clean, easy to attatched to a chair, durable, & very secure. It functions and performs incredibly well, itโs great for home use & conveniently portable for restaurant use to have a seat at the kitchen table, & also works great on the floor. The tray is dishwasher safe & the chair is very easy to wipe clean. I absolutely love the versatility of uses & convenience of this booster seat. Itโs very supportive & comfortable. Compared to my last booster seat., this one is not bulky & doesnโt have fabric that stains or thatโs hard to clean, & it doesnโt have gaps for food to get stuck between where Iโd have disassemble the whole seat to clean all the buildup out the crevices. This seat is a lot more sanitary, not to mention, it also makes for a great folding chair for older toddlers. At the time of this review, itโs priced at $49.99 and itโs my opinion that itโs very reasonably priced when compared to other comparables of the same quality. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Unusable on many regular dining chairs
This seat is fine if you plan to use it on the floor. For regular dining chairs, itโs very hit or miss. The gap at the back of the chair between the seat bottom and the back rest can allow the back legs of the booster to slip through. Weโve also run into chairs with wider backs that donโt allow the straps to wrap around and secure the booster. You cannot safely use this if itโs not secured and the straps are inadequate.Used on the floor, the seat is basically fine. Itโs relatively stable. Yes, itโs easy to fold. Itโs portable. Used on the floor, the safety standard is adequate. It is also a pain to clean given all of the parts, pieces, nooks, and crannies.Iโm really just not a fan given the high percentage of dining chairs that are totally incompatible with the design and build of this booster seat. Iโm not going to sacrifice safety just to use this.Itโs pricey for a chair that isnโt of exceptional quality and canโt be used in a wide variety of situations.

Doesn’t work with chairs with gaps in back, good for travel, a bit expensive
The PromoBaby SproutSeat is a compact, highly portable booster seat that’s perfect for traveling and restaurant outings. The most notable feature is its lightweight, foldable design and ease of cleaning. The seat doesnโt have any fabric or gaps where food can get stuck, which is a big plus in my opinion. Itโs a good option for temporary use at home, restaurants, or on the floor as a small chair for an older toddler. The seat is designed to fit most kitchen and dining room chairs, and its height allows for easy pulling up to a table. However, it may not be suitable for chairs with open or spindled backs, as the booster’s back legs can slide off, which is the case for us in our dining room. The seat itself is made of hard plastic, which may be less comfortable for extended use. While the tray is adjustable, it only has two settings for distance. The product seems small initially; however, our little one had no problem fitting into it and had plenty of room to grow. The price of this seat is high for what you get. I feel like itโs a bit cheap and like a little kidโs folding chair, just with a tray and some straps. In terms of quality and features, it’s a bit pricey compared to other options on the market.Overall, the PromoBaby SproutSeat is great for convenience, especially if you want something portable and easy to clean. Unfortunately, we wonโt be able to use this as a daily-use seat at home because of the leg-chair issue. Just be sure to check that it is compatible with your specific chairs before purchasing.
