The perfect hybrid pop-up umbrella tent!
I did a lot of research before deciding on this one and my main requirements were: Ease of setting up and taking down, quality, portability, UV shade protection inside, window versatility and aesthetics.I chose the tent in tiffany blue turquoise and the color was vibrant and opaque and not sheer like the others. The rods were 9.5mm thick while others are 8.5mm. It opens and closes like a giant umbrella and came with clear directions. I tested it on a super windy day on the beach and it stood firm and maintained its shape with the spikes included and sandbags on the outside. The tent is super well designed and engineered. My friends were super impressed at the ease of operation and portability. The black shade inside kept the tent super cool and protective from UV rays and could easily fit 3-4 adults inside. The opening is tall so it felt very spacious inside. This is the perfect hybrid umbrella/tent for the beach!

Awesome little tent. I would like to say the sizing is not quite as elaborate as they say. You can fit 4 people in the tent if they’re sitting up and 6 if 2 people sit on the ground flap but if you want to lay down and lounge it’s honestly only big enough to fit 2 people with room to move, 3 people nice and snug. With that said this tent is fantastic. A breeze to set up and take down it only takes about 30 seconds each. Very fast, very convenient. I enjoy this because you don’t need to bring a towel or anything you can lay on the tent floor. It also zips up entirely to be fully enclosed if you need some privacy. The dark interior works really well trapping the heat and keeping the area cool. The material feels solid and as long as you’re not doing anything silly with it should hold up for quite some time. Well worth the price if you enjoy getting out doors but want some shade to rest and take a pit stop. A lot easier and better design than some other tent ideas I’ve seen

Perfect on a windy beach day
I bought this for the beach, lawn concerts, and lazy days in the park. It’s held up really well on some windy beach days. Super easy to set up and take down – just shake the sand out. We love that it zips closed for quick clothing changes and nap time for our toddler. I wasn’t sure if I needed blackout, but I’m really glad I did because it helps reduce the heat compared to some of the other models I’ve used. I would definitely recommend!

Black interior keeps it way cooler..
Black interior is what you need. do not doubt me. I have to ton of beach tents and black inside is what you need to keep cool.Does great in the wind, 30 second setup and 90 second take down (not counting the sand bags.The only (and I mean only) draw back is the sandbags are not Velcro which I have on another one and it really makes for a quicker breakdown. Each bag takes about 45 seconds where as with the Velcro they take about 5 seconds.The handy little strap makes it bagless for your vacation which is great. Forget the bag and use the strap to keep it all together day after day. That was a great feature.Black interior. Black interrior black interrior. If you are looking for a tent the #1 feature you need (espically with kiddos) is a back interior. Do not be fooled – the black keeps it cool, helps with eye protection and is AMAZING.The only draw back to this one is it will not fit in a carry on – too long. I have another about the sameSize that will fit in a carry on – this one has about 2-5 inches more headroom which does come in handy. Keep the box because you can check it (on allegient). We have some kids so had a few extra checked bag options.Get this tent – and if you don’t get this tent – your tent MUST have a black interior. It is the most important feature.

Great…but fishy
So easy to use, helped with the wind at the beach. Put up and take down was simple! The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star was because it has a really awful fishy smell inside. I don’t know what it was but it is very strong and everyone made a comment about it. I was hoping after having it open all day at the windy beach it would subside but no such luck.

Perfect amount of space for two people plus a cooler and other bags, it stayed cool inside, and was very easy to set up and tear down. The black liner keeps the inside DARK.I could see getting a battery powered fan if you were in an area with no wind, but was totally fine even without it.Mine had one or two small holes in the black inner liner that I will probably cover with some black tape, but otherwise the quality is exceptional.I would buy ten of these!

Stronger material compare to others. Easy set up
Just had this for a day but the blackout material on this one is better than the “non-blackout one” I purchased the non-blackout for 50 and this one for 65. I feel the extra 15 dollars was worth the strength in material. Returning non-blackout also the bag had a hole in it because wan’t sewed correctly…..Anyway, I had an “alvantor” pop up but eventually after 5 years the button at top wouldn’t stay down when it was set up. It was actually an easier set up then these bigger ones. The two front poles need a little extra handling when setting up and taking down. Where the poles bend ,,,,DO NOT FORCE TO CLOSE or bend. You SIMPLY pull the joint in opposite directions and it easily bends. I think if someone complains about poles BREAKING most likely they use brute force to close……. I like that it came with both grass spikes and beach spikes. It does have a zipper front which is good. I read some other reviews when purchased and it does have a weird smell. It was brand new so it wasn’t because it was returned by someone. I haven’t used yet I just set up and took down.. The biggy for me was the stronger material. It was worth the extra 15 dollars.

Great beach tent.It goes up in seconds. Takes a minute or 2 to fill the pockets with sand to weigh it down.& can be put down just as quickly.The bag seems quite good & it’s quite compact when packed away.It feels solid & sturdy like if looked after, it will last many years.We have 3 young children & it’s perfect for our family of 5.On our most recent beach trip, it was a bit windy & it stood strong.I’m glad I paid the extra for the blacked out inside version as I saw another family with a very similar standard one & the fabric looked thinner & a bit see through.It’s great for everyone taking turns to get changed inside with the zip up front.The inside window covers clip up or down with elastic ties which works well.Paired with an xl 260cm x 220cm picnic blanket & we’re pretty much all set

For some reason, this style of beach tent isn’t very common on Sydney beaches—but we absolutely love it. It’s spacious enough for our family of five, and then some. The most we’ve had in it was during a particularly hot day: three ladies and four toddlers all taking a break from the sun. It was a bit cramped, sure, but it did the job perfectly for the occasion.Despite being so roomy, it’s surprisingly portable. I can set it up and pack it down on my own without any trouble. It might be a bit trickier for my wife to handle solo, but definitely not impossible.

Absolutely perfect for the beach if you want to have privacy, it’s big enough to sleep you and someone else. If you want to use it as a tent, it will definitely fit a double air bed; zip it up. Great for the beach.It’s so easy to put it up and down, the carry bag it comes with is bigger so you can put it away with ease. Don’t panic it will go back in the bag.Highly Recommend 5 stars 🌟.

I needed something for the beach that I could put up and down on my own sometimes when out with the dog. At 94 pounds it was a very considered purchase but it really is good.I tried it on the lawn on a sunny windy day and it took seconds to put up. Quicker and easier than I’d imagined. I could lie down inside across it outstretched. It was so much cooler inside than in full sun due to the thick material and black inner coating. Three walls have meshed windows and there are drop down clip up flaps for privacy or shelter from sun and wind. The front panel is stitched to the floor and is silver. Due to the inner height of the tent the flap is lengthy so lots of leg room. If needed it zips the entrance closed if you need privacy for changing. The outside is a beautiful mint colour. The bag has a shoulder strap and instructions on a fabric flap stitched in the neck of drawstring bag. The tent is held tight with a snap click belt. As you unroll the tent there’s a further drawstring bag with long, string and thick yellow plastic pegs. I didn’t try them on the lawn so don’t know how useful they are yet.Flop out the legs then pull up where it is labelled as such on the top and that’s it. I’d read when researching others that were a third less expensive that some people struggled putting their tents back down due to the top needing a lot of force to unclip but this one was surprisingly easy. In seconds it was down and ready to roll fairly tightly to get the air out before clipping its belt back around it to hold it while I put it back in its bag. If you can justify the cost you won’t be disappointed with it.Only negative is it is a little weighty but it’s understandable due to its robustness. If it were lighter it would be more flimsy. Very happy with the purchase.
