It’s an Osprey.
It’s an Osprey. The best there is. Enough said.

Lightweight and Versatile Pack That Works Great With or Without the Reservoir
I picked up the Osprey Katari 7L for mountain biking, and while it comes with a hydration reservoir, I removed that right away since I didn’t want or need it. I can’t comment on the reservoir itself, but the backpack works perfectly for my setup without it. The side bottle pockets each hold a full-sized water bottle, so I can easily carry two bottles comfortably. For my rides, that makes the reservoir unnecessary—but if someone wanted to go big on water, you could definitely use both bottles plus the reservoir for a total of three sources. The pack itself is lightweight, snug, and doesn’t bounce around on rough trails. It has just enough space for tools, snacks, and the essentials without feeling bulky. I really appreciate how minimal and low-profile it feels compared to a larger hydration pack.Overall, even without using the reservoir, this bag has been a fantastic fit for mountain biking—just the right size and very versatile for how I ride.

Perfect for day hikes
Amazing backpack. Very light and sturdy. Enough storage for snack or sunscreen and first aid. The 2.5 liter water bag allows for extended day hikes or longer bike rides while staying lightweight. I have the big brother Manta pack by Osprey and love it but too big for many of the shorter hikes and rides.

Innovative fill and closure system
Excellent construction and the fill and closure system is superior to CB in my opinion.

Almost there
Nice backpack and poor water bladder drinking tips. I will probably change the bladder to the camelback later. It is light weight and love the size of water reserve. I just don’t like the nozzle and tip you drink out of. Very flimsy and easy to loose the tip cover.

storage pocket is too small to fit my I-phone max in!
The storage space is very limited, more so than I thought. But I wanted something more streamline to complement the kitari 7 that I use a lot, and love, so this is it. It barely fits my I phone max, but it fits so I upgraded from an earlier 4 star review.
