This hat works!!!!
I was pleasantly surprised that this hat really does work.My husband’s a construction worker and works outside in this heat all day long and I worry about him and sun exposure and heat exhaustionSo I figured , let’s try it and see if it worksLo and behold, this hat does work!!!It’s amazing. It keeps him cool. Keeps the Sun off his head. It’s really an amazing productIt’s very thin, which I was concerned about, but the material worksIt looks great. He’s happy with the camo style and overall, a really great product. Fits his head nicely. Keeps its shape also. Fits in your back pocket lol.I would highly recommend it.

This hat is lightweight, comfortable, and really does help keep you cool. I wear it outside for work and it blocks the sun well. When you wet it, the cooling effect actually works. This is a great hat for hot days or outdoor activities. It keeps me cool for a short period! I love it.

Hat looks good and provides plenty of sun protection for ears and face. Its fabric is good quality and lightweight and breathable. It keeps your head cool in the summer heat too!

Good quality hat
I bought this hat for roughly $20 and at the same time purchased one of the other Mission brand baseball cap style cooling hats so I have been able to compare both of these hats. This bucket hat isn’t huge, and for my big head it is a little on the tighter side but still perfectly comfortable for me. Could be an issue for some though I imagine most people will be fine as I know my head is bigger than average and the fit doesn’t bother me.As to the cooling powers of the hat, I mostly use it on hot days when I am lounging in the pool to shade my face and keep me cool as I work on my tan. I dunk it in the water then slap it on my head. The only part of this hat that is going to cool you is the top and the inner rim that goes around your head. So for as much water as this hat soaks up, it really doesn’t do much but run off and provide shade like any other hat. It stays cool for what seems a short amount of time but it does help. If you are on the go, I would keep a spray bottle handy so you can keep misting the top and inside every hour or so and get a lot more mileage out of it. Overall, it is a good hat but I feel the ball cap style hat is better for day to day. That one soaks up your sweat better than this one and if you do start to overheat with it on, take it off and it’ll cool you down again once you put it back on after a few minutes thanks to the sweat retention. Both benefit from keeping a spray bottle nearby, and I do consider that a must have if you are trying to get these things to cool you down, but if I could pick only one I would go with the cap but luckily the world doesn’t work that way so I can use the cap at work and then this bucket hat around the house and pool. This cap is definitely a bigger help in rain as well thanks to the wider brim. While it isn’t perfect it is still worth buying just remember to have realistic expectations. An hour of good cooling effect after a good soaking and maybe you can get two hours in shade under ideal conditions. Every person is different too, so that is just my experience. Regardless, it is a worthwhile purchase and I am happy with my Mission hats.

Keeps you cool!
Honestly I’d buy this hat again. It fits my dome so perfectly, kept the sun out of my face and neck, and kept me cool during a very hot camping trip. It’s lightweight, super breathable, and dries quickly when you need it to (aka when it’s HOT). I was at our campsite sweltering and made multiple trips to the potable water spigot to drench this hat and wring it out like a towel. It felt so amazing to place this soppy hat on my head and it still kept its shape. The color and print design are awesome, I love that you can button the sides, and the price is well worth it! This hat is definitely going to replace my other sun hats. 100000% recommended.

Ok
I saw this and thought it was pricey but if it worked on hot summer days it was worth it. I like it has a strap that keeps it from blowing off my head in wind. It is well made and a nice color. I don’t really see how it is any different from hats I already have as far as wetting down the band inside…I really didnt notice a difference from my other hats….thus I thought it to be more expensive than it should be.

Hubs is loving this hat – his hair is nearly shaved so this has been awesome to keep the sun off while staying cool. He wants a second one for when he bbq’d so he doesn’t get the one he wears regularly all smokey. Cooling works great – even in the night heat we get in ON, he says it cools well even in the 30+degC heat
