Wishing I Had Bought This YEARS Ago
This UV umbrella works incredibly well! I am very fair-skinned and burn incredibly easily. I used it on a humid 95-degree day in which I was outdoors all day – 7am to midnight for a concert – and didn’t want to wear sunscreen, because it gets in my eyes and messes up my contacts. I did not burn AT ALL in the areas that were kept in shade by the umbrella!I wish I had thought to buy one of these years ago!!!Easy to open, easy to close, and well-made.

Works Great, Except For Locking Mechanism
This is my 2nd time buying a sunbrella. It works wonders in the sun. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is bc I haven’t had it long at all, but it’s hard to get it to latch when opened. I have to keep messing with it.

Kept the sun off me
Great little umbrella helped keep the sun off me in Japan summer. It was small enough to fit in my cross body bag when I wasn’t using it. I did find it challenging to lock open occasionally, you have to push fairly firmly until it clicks into place. The metal ribs do have an ability to bend the opposite direction in the wind rather than breaking, which was a great feature. Overall good for the price!

Indeed, it’s tiny. And it works well.
It’s not exactly the smallest micro-umbrella I’ve seen, but it probably is the smallest one I’ve seen that’s not really fussy. You just push the “collar” up, and the center shaft extends, and it locks into place. And to close it, you just press the button on the “collar” to release it, and pull it to the handle, and the whole thing collapses neatly. Then you can wrap the strap like with any other umbrella. And once that’s done (if it’s dry), the outer sheath just pulls on without much effort. (Probably, the Teflon helps.) Also, there’s a small wrist strap attached to the handle with a stretchy silicon loop.It’s convenient enough that I expect it will get used more. When you’re thinking about using an umbrella for the purpose they were originally invented for (shade when it’s sunny), if it’s not convenient, you’re probably not going to use it. So convenience is really practical in this case.Overall, I find this umbrella very likeable, and also practical.

I wasn’t able to choose a colour, but was sent lime green. It wouldn’t have been my choice, but it is growing on me.lolI am planning on using this as a dual purpose umbrella/ uv blocker for a festival in the summer, and the lime green is actually an apt summery colour. It opens quite smoothly, but fast, so don’t aim it at somebody, and it is a decent size.It folds back quite easily, and my only gripe is that, as with all compact umbrellas, they never fold back neatly. That is the price to pay for it being so compact though, and not a flaw in the item itself.

Can’t rate this highly enough. My wife is a melanoma sufferer and so UV protection is something she won’t go out without now. We bought a leading Australian brand of UV brolly and whilst it great, its also twice the price of this one. Having tried them side by side with (a slightly unscientific) pair of reactolight glasses, I think this does seem to be effective. The density of the material and its coating does seem to stop enough UV light to stop my driving glasses darkening so I would say this is an invaluable product to keep in the car for noon day sun protevction as well as rain.

Great umbrella that opens at the push of a button. The design is lovely, with graduated colour, and the inside is lined with black anti-UV lining. It is not too heavy so is perfect for carrying around.

Nice little umbrella, ideal for storing in the car etc.The brolly itself comes with a protective sleeve and also has a small Velcro tag to roll it up, to open, simply press the button, the brolly springs open with some ferocity and is easily large enough to cover a person, you may even manage to squeeze a partner under it too….. The brolly is black inside and externally has a gradient pattern that starts of cream at the the edges and gets darker towards the centre turning more beige, the surface feels slippery and I have ne reason to see why it won’t be waterproof (some rain to test it would be nice ATM), however it is also very useful as a sun barrier, obviously you can’t cool the surrounding air, but it does provide some shade if going out in the midday sun…. To close, simply press the button again, the frame collapses but you need to push the pole back into the handle…. Now, the only complaint I could find, and I do have big hands, is that the handle could be a bit longer, it is certainly designed with smaller hands in mind

My aged mother really likes this umbrella, especially since she needs to protect her skin. It is lightweight, easy to carry, and the automatic open/close feature makes it simple for her to use. The UV protection is excellent, and the gradient design gives it a nice touch of elegance. Both practical and pretty — just what she needed.
