The brim is soft enough to fold but has a structured inner layer to maintain its shape in light to moderate wind. It offers reliable sun coverage without drooping. For a stiffer brim, consider our another structured version.
Is this hat fully waterproof?
The fabric is water-repellent and handles light rain or splashes well, but it’s not designed for heavy downpours. For best results in rain, pair it with a rain jacket or use during drizzles, not storms.
How to wash and dry the waterproof hat ?
We do recommend wash them by hand below 40° in order to prolong the life of your hats. Turn them inside out and spin dry without heat. Turn the products the right way around and hang in a well ventilated area over night. DO NOT TUMBLE DRY!

XL/XXL means XL/XXL! Heed the note in the ad for this item. Great well made sunblock hat!
Within the ad for this item, you’ll see the seller notes (for the XL/XXL size): “Unless your head is truly extra huge, please don’t try it.” Having a very large head, and a very difficult time finding caps/hats that fit (especially baseball style caps), I took a chance and ordered the XL/XXL size. For snap back caps, I almost always have to use the very last snap on the back of the cap to get it to fit and have even ordered extension straps from Amazon to make my caps large enough to snap. Initially, I thought I had made a mistake on this hat and should have gone with a size smaller. However, there is an elastic drawstring where the brim meets the crown where you can make adjustments. After tightening my hat slightly, it gave me a very comfortable fit. Per the note on the ad, I would only order the XL/XXL if you do truly have a very large diameter head size.Being totally bald, I wear this hat mowing and in the pool to provide good sun protection. The ventilated hat band just above the brim provides ventilation and the brim is quite wide keeping the sun out of your eyes and off your ears. I did find you can shape the brim somewhat to your liking. It’s lightweight and appears to be well-stitched for long wear.All in all, I would definitely buy again. For me and my big head, the XL/XXL did work out just fine.

Finally – I Great Hat that Fits!
I’ve been searching for a wide brim bucket hat for longer than I’d care to admit but finally… the search is indeed over. I love this hat.After looking and trying so many one-size-fits-all hats for my 7 ¾ noggin, this hat is exactly what I was looking for. It’s lightweight and what’s even better is that I can adjust it for the perfect fit if I need to. The quality of the material and stitching is great and being able to remove the chin chord is a welcome touch.
