Does the SmartLock with with Android Devices?
No, SmartLock does not work with Android Devices. Apple Find My network only works on Apple or iOS devices. KeySmart SmartLock works with the global network of all Apple devices to help you track down your lost item.
How long is the battery life? Is the battery replaceable?
The SmartLock uses a 140mAh CR1632 coin cell battery that lasts up to 4 months. The battery is easily replaceable by removing the small panel on the back and inserting a new battery.
Does the lock work even if the battery is dead?
Yes! The combination will still lock and unlock even if the battery is dead. The battery powers the chip required to connect with the Apple FindMy network.
Why can’t KeySmart SmartLock lead me directly to it like the Apple Airtag?
Beyond 200ft Bluetooth range, use Apple Find My Network to locate the card, then play a sound to find it nearby. SmartLock does not use compass style directions to lead you to the exact location. All 3rd party “Find My” products operate the same way.

Outstanding design and functionality. Works very well with Apple FindMy with very very easy setup. It looks to be very well built and battery life of 6 months is not bad. It’s very easy to use and customize your PIN code.

Don’t buy this lock
Was extremely difficult to set compilation requiring constant pressure on small pin. Apparently combination slipped. I set combination, closed lock and opened it once as a test. I used it on baggage on an airline and when I reached my destination the combi I had set did not work! After having several others try to open it (i had written down the combination when I set it) no one could open it and the lock had to be cut off!

The lock is great, the only issue I had being a senior was that it was hard to see the setting location marks for the tumbler. They should put in their instructions to look at U Tube. U Tube made it very clear on alignment. Very easy to set up the tracking.

Does NOT Work As Advertised
Setup was seamless, able to successfully pair with the Find My app on my iPhone 15 Pro. However, during my plane trip, the location was consistently erroneous; the lock on my suitcase showed it was not even on the plane – about 100 meters away – when the plane took off. When I landed hours later, the locked bag showed it was still at my original starting point even when my bag with lock arrived in baggage claim. I know it wasn’t a Find My app issue since the AirTag I placed in my other suitcase accurately showed the correct location every step of the way. Therefore, only a 2-Star review. I’ll definitely stick with Apple Air Tag!

I thought this would be great for my trip and got the 3 pack. The tracking is easy to set up, this only works with Apple because it uses the Find My app. It is easy to set the combination and tracking. I think it’s a great concept but on my first trip the cable on the lock for my checked bag broke so I don’t think the durability of the product is great.
