Great tag to make it personalized
I’m a frequent traveler and my airline of choice has a bag tag that is valet. So instead of always getting a new valet tag to attach, I took one and put it in the self adhesive pocket. Now I always have one on my bag for travel. These are great and you can personalize your own bag tag to set yours apart from everyone else. Great value for the quantity.

I have a laminator, but I do not have it with me on this trip. This is the 2nd time I have used a self laminating tag and the first one several years ago was not very good. This one worked much much better than I thought it would, and is nearly the same size of the laminating tags. After the first time screwing it up when I did not follow the directions, I found It is nearly impossible to mess up sealing the card (following the directions) which really impressed me. Most people will find the thickness adequate, and even though I like a 5 mil thickness, I like it and this will be my “go to” if I need more. It won’t take the place of my trusty old laminating machine (30 years old) , but I will travel with a few, in case I need to make new laminated cards while traveling.

Using this with a lanyard clip for an ID card that doesn’t have a hole in it
For my job, I need to show 3 different ID cards in order to get through security.One of those forms of ID is a passport.The last time I renewed my passport, I ordered a passport card so I wouldn’t have to take my passport book out of my purse every time I went through.The passport card does not come punched with a hole in it, so there was no way for me to clip it onto my lanyard with my other 2 ID cards.I didn’t want to punch my own hole in it, because I was afraid doing so may somehow invalidate it.This self seal pouch, is not really a pouch at all. They are two pieces of plastic that are “hinged” and connected at the top. The hinged area is about 1/4″ with a hole cutout that you can either slip a loop through, or clip a lanyard onto.One piece is clear and the other piece is clear and sticky.If used as intended, you would lay a business card onto the sticky side, then close the clear side onto that. There would be the tab with the hole in it on one short end, and there’d be enough area extending around the other three sides of the business card for the adhesive flap and the clear flap to seal onto each other and create a “pouch”. It is not a “pouch” that you’d be able to take things in or out of. Once the two flaps are adhered together, what’s inside is sealed.For my purpose, I did not want to encase my passport card (again, unsure about invalidating it), so I trimmed the sticky flap to about 1/4″ and stuck it onto the short edge of my passport card.I then trimmed off all perimeter excess so it was the same size as my card.This gives me a tab with a hole in it to clip my lanyard onto my passport card without having to actually punch a hole in the card itself. The card is only adhered to this by that 1/4″ adhesive strip, so if security needs to closely inspect the card, it is not completely covered. The adhesive is extremely strong, so there is no worry that it will fall off.Works great!

I got these because I could not find the 3M brand I used to buy. These are just as good, for a lot less. Easy to use. I just slipped in my standard size business card and had tags to use for a business trip with my carry on suitcase, laptop case and backpack

Adhesive didn’t last on gift tags I made — Embarrassing!
I used these (instead of thermal seal tags) to make bag tags for a sports team. They looked great at when I gave them, but just weeks later, everyone’s had separated and were falling apart. Embarrassing that the gifts I spent time making for everyone seemed so cheap before the season was even over. Went back to thermal for the next team.

Just what I needed
I purchased this to make bag tags for my volleyball team and I am very pleased with it. It is easy to use, seals perfectly and its already hole punched for the string that comes with it. I am not very technologically savy, so I just went to Avery and designed the tags, printed and cut them then placed it on the non-sticky side. My project came out perfect, I am so happy with it that I am buying another one coz I can see a lot of uses for it.
