They kept the water out and I could use the touch screen feature on my phone.lanyard was long,and sturdy and it did in fact float.

We took these in a trip to the beach and the quality is amazing, no water and no sand got to our phones. They do have some functionality, even when the phone is inside and locked up! Great value and would purchase again. Great fit for our phone and hotel key. AWe have an iPhone 17. You can use the wrist or neck clip for ease of carrying.

I ordered this “Heliosea IPX8 Floating Waterproof Dry Bag” for my excursions on Lake Superior. Too many times has a boat occupant’s phone dropped into a lake, particularly in choppy waters, when they are attempting to take pictures.This pouch prevents just that. I did not realize there were two of these in the package, as is much appreciated. Each pouch or dry bag has a transparent center where the phone sits, framed by a black, rubbery material. At the top, there are two levers which snap in place to completely seal the pouch.These pouches are rated for IPX8. This means that when a phone is in this pouch, it is protected not just from splashes of water, but also from being actually immersed in water for about 30 minutes. Moreover, the fact that it floats in water is an added boon, allowing a phone encased in one of these pouches to be easily fished out of water.These pouches come with two straps. One is a very short strap that basically permits the user to put the strap over a wrist while using the phone to prevent it from dropping into water. The longer strap is for using a phone in the pouch while it dangles from the neck. Of the two, the wrist strap is my favorite to use.My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, and it fit this pouch perfectly (see pictures). Moreover, I was able to access the buttons on my phone with relative ease. Of note is that the fingerprint reader does not work while a phone is on the pouch. I had to first unlock my phone with the fingerprint reader before slipping it into the pouch. Then, I was able to use the camera feature.At regular price, this device is $17, and given that there are two in the package, amounts to approximately $8 per pouch. For that reason, this product is reasonably priced.
