Absolutely Phenomenal Hat In Every Way
I absolutely love this GearTop hat. I purchased it because my doctor told me to wear sunscreen protection and specifically to wear a wide brimmed hat. I have tons of regular trucker style/baseball style hats, but needed a wide brim. This hat looks great. The color is perfect – not too light so it won’t get dirty and not too dark so it won’t absorb heat. The fit of the hat is also perfect for my large sized head (just as the fitment chart said). It is very lightweight so you’ll barely notice it on your head – no real extra weight whatsoever. The drawstring serves as both an adjustment for sizing as well as a way to lock the drawstring under your chin to keep it even more in place for those really windy days. So far I haven’t needed to lock in place as the hat fits so well. The thing that really sold me on this hat is the ventilation system. I hate hats that make your hotter and don’t ventilate well. This has ventilates amazingly because the circumference area on the upper part of the hat has a mesh that allows for airflow in and heat out. Everyone also thinks that I look pretty good in this hat as I get many compliments so far. The UVF of 50+ in the fabric is also perfect as many of the sun’s rays can get through most clothing. I truly cannot think of a better quality made hat that stays attractive. This hat ticks all the boxes for the perfect hat. Absolutely an emphatic recommend for anyone looking for a great sun hat, hiking hat, gardening hat, etc.

Sturdy One-Size Sunhat
Although the hat arrives a bit flattened and wrinkled, the instructions explain how to remediate that. Other than these superficial appearance flaws, the hat is just as advertised. It is made of a nice-quality, smooth nylon, is adjustable to any head size, protects head and neck from sun, has a secure clasp, is well-ventilated with wrap-around mesh, and folds easily. It is a bit heavier than my previous sunhat, but that one did not have an SPF factor. It’s a good value for money and looks as if it will hold up to years of wear.

Decent hat at a good price.
Comfortable but almost too tight for my big head. Keeps the sun off while working outside. Ugly as heck though. Comes all wrinkled, not like the ones worn by the models pictured.

I bought this for my neighbor who was leaving for Hawaii with his wife. He loved it! It fit him perfectly. He tried out the pouch inside with a little frozen pad he usually uses to nurse a sprained finger. He said it cooled him off!It’s pretty thick and sturdy and the brim is wide enough to protect his face and neck in the sun, without being too wide. He’s had some skin cancers removed from his face and neck, so he was happy for the wide brim. His wife liked that it protects him better than his other hats that have more narrow brims. She also liked that it’s machine washable. While they say it’s not waterproof, we sprayed water on it and it ran off. I suppose if you stood in the rain for a while, the water might start making it through.He loved the color, the fit and the size. You can really only fold it in half, but that’s not a deal-breaker. I gave ut to him in the nice, thick, plastic zip bag ot came in. It was a home run!

Thanks to the wide brim, this hat provides great protection/shade from the Sun! Face, head, and back of neck covered, but your head can still breathe (venting on top)!!!! Coloring (Khaki) is nice and deep and it’s a good quality material; very sturdy. Even with it being sturdy, you can still fold it in half. And finally, it’s very light on your head and easy to keep secure with the string (also sturdy)!! One last pro for me is the fact that you can snap the brim up for different looks! I would definitely recommend and will probably purchase a few more colors!

Caution with contradictory information.
Contradictory information, but the item works for me.1) It is 100% nylon (tag in item), not polyester (web description).2) The instruction booklet says to use a cool, dry iron and protection cloth to press out creases. This worked fine, but took time. CAUTION: Do NOT use the method on the “Adjusting Your New Sun Hat” Guide. It says, “NOTE: The process used for a hat that is too small will also restore the hat … removing all creases…. skip step 4.” Yikes! Those instructions use water and the dryer! No water is required. The clothes dryer may shrink it! Don’t try it for creases!3) Surprise: The hat has a secret zipper pocket inside, perhaps for a permit, or key? Who knew?!4) I had to knot the adjustable elastic drawcord, because it was too skinny for the clip; it slipped easily through the clip. Once tightened with a knot, the hat fits my head.5) Caution: GearTop support website and phone number are in Canada, and not secure.Otherwise, I expect to be happy with the hat. It allows breeze through mesh without sunburn on my forehead/face. I’ll keep it.

Great product AND service!
I bought a Geartop hat a few years ago. We garden a lot in Florida and the comfort and sun protection are best I’ve ever had. I wanted a back up hat and ordered a new one on Amazon last week. Not sure if I did something wrong ordering, but hat was too small. I called Geartop and they contacted me back right away, got info, and sent replacement pronto!I don’t normally right reviews, but have to say that not only is it a great product, but the customer service from Lea,is awesome!

Es un producto de gran calidad, llegó bien empacado, con todos los sellos que lo validan como original, en una bolsita hermética.
