Really great little pack!!
Warning: long reviewI’ve had this pack for a year. Used it for hiking and day trips where I want my hands free or need to bring a bit more with me. It’s also great for taking to the farmer’s markets, it can hold a lot. I honestly really like this bag. It has all the right pockets, it’s a good size (not for overnight trips) and is lightweight. It’s held up really well with rips, stains or broken zipper after a LOT use in the desert, forest and beach environments. I’m rough on my day packs so I’m super impressed given how inexpensive this was.I fill the water water bag, throw in sunscreen, emergency clothing, maps, an extra bottle of water, a flashlight, an emergency kit, phone with extra battery, some personal items and food! It surprisingly holds it all and doesn’t feel too bulky or heavy. Sometimes I even put in water shoes. I find it very comfortable and well balanced for such an inexpensive pack. The bag is quick drying, not truly waterproof, but it doesn’t get soaked through right away in a light rain.I’ve had no issues with the water bag leaking and the mouthpiece works fine. It’s pretty easy to fill and clean, but all of these types of bags are a little awkward. The big name water bags have given me more problems than this one has. Although at this price? A year or two of use seems pretty reasonable.I, of course, have a few complaints. The first is my ONE BIG PET PEEVE about backpacks. The water bottle pockets are ‘almost’ big enough for my water bottles. I can manage shove one in there, but it’s really difficult. Impossible if the bag is full and I always like to carry extra water. This issue isn’t unique to this pack, all of the packs I have are the same. I don’t use the oversize bottles, just the normal insulated ones. WHY can’t they make the pockets just a half inch bigger so the bottle fit??The second improvement I’d love to see is a key clip inside one of the compartments. Maybe the clip on the outside is intended to be for keys, but I wouldn’t have my keys dangling on the outside of my pack for the day. I use it for a retractable clip with a compass. A clip on the inside would be great so I don’t have to dump and search for my keys at the end of the day.I would have liked double zipper on all the compartments, only the large one has them. Finally, the strap material could be a bit softer, but this really feel like I’m almost finding something to complain about. I don’t notice it at all unless I’m in a sleeveless shirt. If you need a really good day pack for hiking or day trips, I don’t think you can go wrong with this one.

All Seems Quality – Two Thumbs Up
Update: 9/10/25I wore it for several hours, (in extreme heat and two days in rain) at a WEC race where I walked for miles and had no cover overhead (from sun or rain.) It did not disappoint. The water repellent bag in the zipper pouch on the very bottom is a great idea. Given the packs small size, you can load it up pretty good. The straps and padding and material are all excellent. It’s comfortable even with a considerable load. The pack itself is light weight. There’s a strap at the chest and one at the waist if you desire to use it. I found the waist one actually helped bear the weight. My original review (before using it) is below:I might come back to give it five stars, but I haven’t used it yet. I’ve never had one of these (of any brand) so I can’t compare it to anything else. The main thing, the bladder, is constructed well and rests in an insulated compartment, (as the description says.) I will be wearing/using it a lot at COTA in Austin TX in two weeks and if there’s an issue it should show up then. The breathable straps and padding exceeded my expectations. There are other pouches or pockets to store other smaller items. In the largest pocket I can carry my foldable chair. Surprise! With the bladder (two-thirds full) and the chair the entire rig weighs 10 lbs. Not bad for hiking or longer walks. If you are a runner, you won’t want to pack so much, certainly not a folding chair. The materials don’t look/feel cheap. The attached straps (one at the waist too if you want it) are easily adjustable. I can see where it’s lacking anything. We’ll see, soon enough.

Great Budget Hiking Pack for Teens!
Value for money:This hiking pack is a fantastic find – affordable, lightweight, and surprisingly durable. It’s the perfect size for teenagers and fits comfortably without being too bulky. There’s plenty of space for water, snacks, and essentials, and the straps adjust for a secure fit. It held up great on day hikes and weekend trips. Highly recommend for families looking for a quality pack without spending a fortune!

Bladder failure
Nice bag but the bladder leaks and leaves a pool in my backpack ruined my key fob and a couple more items I put inside

Perfect size, doesn’t make your back hot, very comfortable.
I’ve had this pack for over a year now. I’ve taken it on mostly smaller hikes. The longest hike I’ve taken it on its about 12 miles. Worked great. I purchased this with a 2L water bladder but I did go ahead a buy a 3L bladder to put in it as I am going to be taking it on full day hikes this summer. I like that its a smaller pack but still holds everything that I need. Perfect for a half day and full day hikes. Another feature I like about it is the chest strap sits right under my armpits and so its not squishing or making my boobs uncomfortable. We are in preparation for a 25 mile day hike in the Grand Canyon this fall and will be taking this with as I’ve tested others over the year of owning it too.I’ve very happy with it. I actually bought a second one for my spouse.

Great backpack to stay hydrated on hikes.
nice “camelback” backpack. Purchase two of these for my wife and I when we went out to Moab. Once you get the water moving through the hose its very easy to stay hydrated.

Loved the packs
Loved the water hydration backpacks. We just got back from Colorado and they worked well for day hikes. Lots of extra compartments for throwing snacks in or lunch while hiking. We used the backpack raincoat once and it was easy to pull out and cover the bag and was effective. The plastic hydration bag worked well and was nice sized. But it has a flavor to it that doesn’t readily resolve even with washing but it remitted with use. I didn’t like that but otherwise the product is perfect.

This is a great Camelbak and doubles as a convenient day pack as well. It has a 2L bladder that secures on the inside once loaded. There is a lot of external storage and plenty of internal storage for a day trip. I searched high and low for a comparable pack and couldn’t find anything that could compete with the price. The chest and waist straps secure it to your body to prevent movement while hiking. Highly recommend this item.

For the price this pack can’t be beat. Bought it for a big mountain bike trip and it did not disappoint. The 3L water capacity was very nice as most packs are only 1.5L or 2L. Comparable to much more expensive packs and the quality is amazing for the price. Just get it!The only thing I wish was better is the waist strap. It’s just a strap and doesn’t have any padding on it, so it can get a bit uncomfortable after wearing it for long periods of time. I will try to make some sort of padding for it.If you’re on the fence about buying or comparing to other packs, this is the one to get!
