Hold my tablet for working from the road.
I’m in college, but need to travel on occasion. I like that my wife can drive and I can work from the back seat (I couldn’t find anything that would work from the front seat). Seems sturdy enough for me to compete exams and type long papers. My Microsoft ProX with keyboard for well with enough room to set my Samsung Galaxy Ultra next to it. The “cup holders” are useless for an adult and I would imagine difficult for children, so I don’t use them. Installation was easy and it folds away nicely when not in use. Please note that if you keep it folded up the tray cover will sag and could mishape in a hot car. I usually leave mine down unless I need it out of the way. But the tray cover does remove easily for cleaning. I suppose it could be glued in place but then it would be difficult to clean.

Saved our weekend errand outings and road trips, but them if they will fit your car!
We have a Ford F150 crew cab, shopping & road trips were difficult because we often had to eat on the run and there is no easy way to eat in car seats. These trays made all the difference for eating & playing while in the car. I do not care for the drink holders on the tray, they don’t really work for most drinks. The tray works fantastic though. We use it while driving as well as parked. iPads sit on tray with room for food too.Installation took about 15-20 minutes. Once installed they have not needed adjustment yet. You do not notice or feel the device on the headrest. The unit folds flat when not in use and we have not had them come out of the holder while driving over rocky terrain. We have used these for about a month now. They were worth the investment & we will buy them again. This turned the backseat into a kid friendly environment for anything from road trips to Costco trips. They are not hard to clean, hold quite a bit of items & so far are durable. I will update if there are any issues.

Not suitable for kids in car seats.
This is a well made product. HOWEVER, this is not suitable for kids who are in booster seats. The tray needs to be low enough for it to fold over and hook on the top to stay “closed”. This wouldn’t be a problem except that the hinges and locks are hard to operate. You need an adult to press the release buttons and move the tray up and down.This could be really dangerous in an emergency if your kid is not able to fold this over quickly and escape (it’s hard for a 9 yr old). I wouldn’t recommend it if your kid is in a car seat. It would be perfect if no car seat is required.

Instructions say don’t use in moving vehicle/great for road trips
WAS going to test this for a road trip with a 6 and 8 year old for road trip. So far I have to raise the desk as high as it will go in order for their legs to fit under it. And then lower it back down so I can clip it back in the storage position. Things my kids can’t reach to do from from their booster seats. So far the desk feels very flimsy and that’s with the car NOT moving. Which by the way, the details say not to be used in a moving vehicle… and then highlight all the great features for a car ride. Not sure how many people sit in their car, in the back seat, not moving, during travel. Will be returning

**Edit: I have been using this for a week now and I absolutely love it. Please see my attached picture and use the bungee cord to help support the weight. It will make all the difference.I feel like this tray is getting undeserved poor ratings. It is a good quality product, perfect for a car office or whatever. It is height adjustable and telescopic. It even has an anti-slip mat to keep your stuff in place. My only issue was when the tray is folded it hangs, which puts excess weight on the hooks, but I resolved that issue by securing the tray with bungee cord (see picture). Keeps it nice and secure.

Fits well on seat, serves its purpose. But don’t think its a fixed, sturdy table, it’s an add on only.The only negative so far, its Bottle holder is too small for most bottles or cups.
