It does exactly what you need it to do, really well.
If properly cut to fit and if velcro is installed so material is nice and taut, it will block nearly 100% of light – a true black-out product. I can now go into my bedroom on the brightest day in the summer, and its a dark cave with this product on my windows. You can remove the material because it uses velcro tabs, so you can open the window if you need to. But I wouldn’t recommend it if you want to take it down every day and put it back up. I imagine the glue might eventually wear out. I’ve had mine up for a few months with no problems. Only removed it twice to open the window to let some fresh air in.I live in New England where its light out before 5am in the summer. I’ve tried expensive black-out curtains, but they still let a little light in around the edges, and it would wake me up. I needed something that would totally black-out my two bedroom windows. This did it for me. Sleep is so much better with this material on my windows.Some people have complained that the material looks/feel cheap, but at $15, what do you expect? I didn’t expect it to be aesthetically beautiful. It’s not. And that ok because it does what I need it to do. It blocks the light really well, and that was my main reason for purchase. I imagine most people, like me, have curtains or blinds that you can close over it. Problem solved.It’s only been a few months, so I’ll have to see how the glue/velcro holds up over time. But at $15 each, I can afford to replace them every year if I have to. It’s worth it, for better sleep.

Awesome stuff!
It works!! Made our RV much easier to cool! Blocks out pesky lights we couldn’t block otherwise. Will be buying more!! The only problem so far is it doesn’t come with enough velcro pieces. If you have larger windows or multiple size areas to do, buy extra Velcro or the adhesive velcro strips.

It looks simple but is very functional
This curtain was a lifesaver. I cut it to fit my window, it comes with double-sided patches to attach it to the wall, and it blocks a lot of sunlight. It was exactly what I needed to keep my room dark.

This works really well – complete blackout! Love that there is a silver backing as well to reflect hot sun rays away from the house. I opted to put the Velcro on the frame of the window knowing that the warmth of the sun or condensation in the winter could effect the adhesive. Here are the Steps I used.Step 1 – clean window frame with disinfectant wipe to remove dust or oils for best contact of the adhesive.Step 2 – attach Velcro strips to the wood Frame (leaving pairs together and only removing the backing from one side of the pair)Step 3 – Working from left to right and from the top to the bottom – remove the second backing of the Velcro pair 1 by 1 smoothing out the window fabric along the top of the window frame tacking it to the second piece of Velcro so that there was no buckling of the fabricStep 4 – Tack the sides – don’t try to do all of one side and then all of the other side do it from left to right so that the fabric doesn’t buckle and let light in.Step 5 tack down the bottom.DoneTips1 – Plan out where to put the Velcro Pieces2 – Keep Velcro pairs together.3 – Clean surface with disinfectant wipe (to remove dust or oils)4 – Remove backings one by one after you have attached them to the frame to ensure no buckling of the window covering/fabric or accidental adhesion of the fabric.5 – work from left to right, top to bottom – what you do to one side do to the other when working on the sides6 – Don’t try to tack all of one side and then all of the other side (could result in the fabric buckling and letting in light)7 – enjoy total darkness! LOL

Smells really bad of moth balls. Stunk up my whole place, and there were a tonne of tiny holes in it that you could see were not put there on purpose.

Ça doit être vraiment difficile d’être vendeur sur Amazon, parce que quand on lit certains commentaires négatifs ici, c’est presque insultant de voir l’incompétence de certains utilisateurs…Sachant que l’odeur n’était pas la plus agréable (ce qui est logique vu le type de matériau, conçu pour bien isoler), je l’ai laissé aérer environ deux heures dans mon garage, juste par précaution.Pour l’installation, j’ai pris soin de bien mesurer et de bien répartir les velcros afin qu’il n’y ait aucune fente laissant passer la lumière, pour bien tester le produit.Et honnêtement… pourquoi je ne l’ai pas acheté avant? hahahaMon bureau est sur ma véranda, où j’ai six fenêtres. Sur la photo, on voit clairement à quel point le produit bloque bien la lumière, alors que le rideau à gauche laisse encore passer la clarté.Félicitations pour ce produit! Il est simple, facile à installer (il suffit d’un peu de patience et de bon sens) et il fait exactement ce qu’il promet : aucune lumière ne passe! 👏
