This is the greatest thing I’ve ever owned; edit: removes cooking odors!
Edit! Even better than I first reviewed.I love to cook bacon but hate the smell but can’t open windows due to letting in allergens and humidity that promotes dust mites. What to do! Turns out, running the uv light breaks the organic compounds for bacon smell! Freaking nuts. Oh, and the smell of sunshine you get is mildly toxic, it’s ozone gas 03. It’s created as a by product of breaking down bacteria and such.So if you like to have a clean house and part of that regimen involves sunning out your bedding, this product completely replaces the need to do so outdoors. I bought this because I wanted to be able to Sun my futon. And it makes any room and any object it strikes smell like sun. And this is actually working because I have a moldy carpet problem that I’m allergic to… I’m currently in the process of scheduling a carpet cleaning and I decided to use the lamp in this room. I sat on the carpet after 60 minutes of two sessions and I don’t have any allergies to the mold spores on this carpet right now. This is insane.So the big benefit of not sending out your bedding is if you live in a very human environment. Dust mites and mold like to grow at humidity is greater than 50%, specifically dust mites. So it’s kind of counterproductive to Sun out your bedding if the humidity outside is so high. You might kill the dust mites during the sunning phase, but due to the bedding absorbing so much extra moisture, when you take it indoors it’s a perfect breeding ground for dust mites and mold.I have two dehumidifiers in order to keep my apartment at 40% to 45% humidity – it is very humid where I am.So it makes practical sense to just ‘buy the Sun’. I’m very grateful for coming across this product. Using it to fry things like my walk in closet or bathroom has been a life saver for killing mold and dust mites with the sun when normally you would need harsh cleaners and effort. This makes doing these tasks routine and easy AND effective.

Sturdy and light weigh at the same time.
Works great. Have used multiple times. Bought an extra lamp light bulb as well to put back. Metal handle holds up wonderfully. Keep in original box in between uses. Wish it had a longer time built in allowing one to exit before it actually lights up. Some of us old folks don’t move too fast.

It works good. Haven’t used it a bunch but it works fine, and you can smell the dead bacteria. Did a lot of research and this company makes real expensive lights that are used in hospitals and such places.

FANTASTIC!!!
I ended up with a horrible mold infestation due to water seeping in through the poorly pointed outside bricks of my apartment. I did some online reading how to alleviate the issue without having to do very costly and disruptive mold remediation and saw this light. I read every review, spect time on the company page, and did thorough background investigating on the success of using UVB when dealing with mold. I felt confident making the purchase and I’m glad I did! The light basically stopped the mold in its tracks and allowed me time to handle things at a more convenient pace rather than having a team of remediaters come in and totally disrupt my routine. The lamp also rids the apartment of smells from cooking and my neighbors smelly dog and helps kill dust mites so my allergies have lessened. You have to remove all your plants from any room you use it in and also cover or turn any photos or artwork so they aren’t exposed. If you have pets don’t leave them while using the light. In other words don’t expose anything precious to the lamp that ity may otherwise cause harm or aging due to extreme UV exposure. I highly recommend this lamp for any mold issues, people with allergies, or those who are sensitive to smells.

GOOD AMERICAN MADE BUY WITH CONFIDENCE
The product is as advertised. The TOOL KLEAN team is very friendly and helpful. Their customer service is excellent. The fact that the company is registered with the EPA increases customers trust in the product. With other competitors you never know what you are getting and if the ratings are correct or it if even works. Most Chinese companies do not even have customer service or a phone or email so a USA based company with great service goes a long way! If you are worried about your safety I recommend getting a wifi camera or a baby monitor. This will allow you to check if the light is truly off before entering a room but also will allow you to see it working and would be a safe method to determine if the bulb burnt out. The remote works from a few feet away and I have noticed if you have multiple lights the same remote seems to work on both. I also like that TOOL KLEAN has videos online for replacing bulks or general use. You can also find 3rd party videos testing the UVC on a card or strip to show you that it works and is an actual UVC light and not a purple LED or Chinese scam. In summary the light is as advertised and paying the extra bit to know you have a product is worth it rather than gambling with a Chinese brand. The camera adder is super helpful.

Very powerful UV lamp, remote does not appear to work
This UV sanitizer is certainly not cheap for what it is, but it absolutely worked for my situation. I needed to treat several rooms for minor mold growth. I used this lamp in conjunction with a HEPA air purifier and the rooms I have treated are coming back with great results after testing for mold. The lamp has three time settings (15 / 30 / 60 minutes) that can be set via the buttons located on the base of lamp. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the remote control to work more than 1ft away from the lamp.After running the lamp on the 30 or 60 minute settings, the rooms definitely had a different odor to them. Initially the rooms had a slight sterilized odor, but quickly dissipated and smelled like how I would expect a clean room to smell. It appears to have killed any mold that would have been exposed on surfaces after running for a total of 60 minutes.
