Great shade screen for pergola
Outstanding shade screen. We built a pergola in the back yard and bought this to go over top fixed in place with a bag of ball bungies that we bought separately. Terrific color and quality is very good. The grommets made it easy to bungy to the pergola. We bought the brown color which is very nice and looks like a weaved material. So it’s not solid but fabric looking. Highly recommended and we’ll buy this again for our other pergolas.

While the 8×12 was the closest to the size of our new pergola, it was true to size. There are 6 or 8 inches on one side and one end that are not covered. It still works great. I am 70 and my daughter and I had no trouble installing it.I took the advice of other reviewers and did not use the included “rope” – it was pretty awful. I ordered 11” ball end bungees and they were perfect.The 90-95% blockage of sun made a HUGE difference is the temperature of our enclosed back porch which gets lots of south sun.. I almost bought another cover that was only going to be 60-70%.We highly recommend this product!

Perfect Grey Color + 8×8 Size is Accurate
I can’t say whether it’s going to work for shade yet, but at this point anything is better than nothing. I live in Florida and it’s already in the 90s in May. I’m going to put it flat on the inside across the roof to block the afternoon sun because my porch faces northwest.What I am most happy about, this is the only one I found that did not have an ugly black border. The entire thing is gray and is exactly the same color I just painted my house (Valspar Grey Suit 4004-2A color but used Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec). I am beyond thrilled. And I think the price was very reasonable, I paid $35 for it. It seems very sturdy and didn’t smell bad that I recall, it’s been in the outdoor box and has zero odor right now two weeks later. The cats have been playing on it and have not made a hole in it, that’s actually amazing.My width is 8’6″ so I have to use zip ties for the extra width. This measures exactly 8 foot on one side. The other side is less than a half inch short. As other reviews state, the grommets are not spaced the exact same on all sides, it’s close, but not close enough that it’s interchangeable so I will have to mark which way to put it up.I’m going to put up command strip hooks and purchased a closet hanger extension pole so I can easily put this up and take it down. I don’t plan on leaving it up all the time, it would collect rain, and I don’t care how sturdy anything is the Florida Sun will eat it.I just purchased another one 8 x 12 so I can do most of the exposed roof/ceiling (wanted to see the 8×8 first). I went for two pieces for multiple setup options and they are heavy. I can hang the 8 x 8 at the end to block my neighbors for privacy & have the 8×12 on the roof or put one or both on the roof. Also, even though these are thin plastic tarp material, it’s actually heavy and unwieldy so I did not want to get one really long one. The command strips only hold 2 pounds each so the first hole up will be most of the weight until you hook the rest. I may have to get a stronger command hook for the start point.After I get this all set up I will leave a review on the 8 x 12 and let you know how it goes with setup and actual sun shade effectiveness. I don’t expect it to be a block out, but I don’t want blackout I just want to make it less blinding.That’s Cheeto and Ben Kenobi in the video. They are so cute.

Exactly as described!Solved a few issues we had.The weave is water permeable so no puddl8ng up of water after the heaviest rainstorms, and we’ve had a few.We used to have to pull back the old one because it caught and held gallons of water, stretching and staining it. Not this one!It came with zip ties and woven nylon cord, which is convenient but not practical or decoratively pleasing so we opted to purchase Bungee ties (different manufacturer, photo included).The described measurements were exactly as described.Another nice feature is that even in high winds, the weave allows enough pentration of air that it doesn’t act like a sail and stress the pergola frame.Overall, great product.

The 10×10 unit fits a 12×12 gazebo and is fast to install. Great sun shade and stands up to wind so far. Highly recommend.
