They are dark no nosey neighbors can look in.
Yes love these. I ordered3 so far and I had to order another one for today. We got a nosey neighbor who looks in windows and takes pictures. I can hardly wait till I let my neighbors see they may want to cover their front windows at least but it gets to a 120. Here in the desert so I hope they keep it cooler in the summer and warm in the winter. I have to put the last one up today.

Roll of hook and loop tape would be an improvement. Cover material blocks light, only edges leak
My RV came with blackout window covers from BlackoutEZ. They were totally worth having during our trip to Alaska! The sun might not set, but once we put up the blackout covers, the inside of the RV was dark. After six years, the hook and loop tape is letting go and a couple of covers have gotten pinhole openings that let in light. This package from Giupre is a very affordable option for replacing the holey covers.First difference I noticed is the material. The Giupre material is thinner and lighter with the UV blocking side being silver versus white. A Giupre cover is easier to fold or roll up and store: space and weight are always an issue in my small Class C RV.Second difference is the hook and loop. Instead of a roll of hook and loop to avoid gaps along the sides that let in light, the Giupre package comes with short, precut lengths of tape that have to be spaced out around the cover. The Giupre loop is also not as deep or dense, so it is not as good at keeping light from seeping in. I bought a roll of loop to use in the replacement because I wanted to minimize light leaking in around the tape.Only time will tell, but I have not found hook and loop tape, or glue for it, that holds up to years of very hot and very cold temperatures in the RV. Some last weeks, some a year or two. The BlackoutEZ tape lasted 4+.For my use, this kit was not the perfect, complete solution. For someone that is okay with some light getting in around the cover, this is a nice kit.

Light blocking, vision blocking. Great !
Good cut to fit light blocking. Metallic on one side, black on the other. The hook attachment tape holds good but the dots don’t even hold. Overall it does what I wanted it to do and that was to block the stalking eyes of a Nosey neighbor.

Very impressed!
Right out of the bag there is a lot of material to work with. GIUPRE kindly provided all of the hook and loop tape and adhesive circles you could possibly want. The inclusion of a metallic pen and a measuring tape goes beyond me courtesy and really speaks to the companies desire to take care of their customer! Other than a pair of scissors, you have everything you need to install these straight out of the bag.The instructions direct you to adhere this to the windows, but my son wanted to be able to take them on and off and so decided it would be better to mount it to the wall. The fabricate itself is slightly stiff, but easy to manipulate. One side is a bright reflective, silver, and the other side is a dark matte black. Cutting the blackout fabric was extremely easy and it did not fray at the edges. The hook and loop tape stuck easily to the back of the material and surprisingly, to the wall. I had my doubts, but I was thoroughly happy and relieved to see that it did the job it advertised!Once up, it looked great and really, we’re not going to see it behind our very ugly curtains. Lol now my son can live in a cave, 24/7, as nature intended. Lol.We have a lot of leftover fabric, which means should we want to use it in other projects? That’s totally doable. There are also quite a few hook and loop tapes left over, not to mention the entire sheet of red circle adhesive.Overall, we are very happy with the product and my other son is now laying claim to the remnant. Lol I highly recommend!

Great in an apartment, easy installation, little to no damage
The GUIPRE Blackout Curtains is an affordable solution to blocking light in my apartment bedroom. They don’t want us to hang curtain rods due to wall damage from a few nails. These hang with double-sided tape or velcro strips, without the use of tools (and no pounding nails).Build & Design:The material is thin and blocks about 99% of the light – really, it’s almost imperceptible but I was specifically looking for flaws. It looks good with my bedroom decor, which is all grays and blacks.Functionality:I’ve used it to cover my bedroom window as a lot of light gets in even with the blinds – especially when the light reflects off of the snow. It performs adequately for that purpose. As winter is not quite here yet, I cannot speak to it’s ability to shield the cold draft that comes in through these old windows, but based on the feel of the material I do think that it will help a bit.The kit comes with 20 hook and loop strips and 18 3M double sided discs, which while they hold well are likely to peel paint. This matters in an apartment where they ding you for every little thing they can on move-out. As with any adhesive, if you are careful with application and removal, I don’t see this being a problem. And frankly, has nothing to do with the blackout curtain itself. As I do not intend to remove it until I move out, I’m not putting a lot of wear on it, but it’s going to be easy to fold it up and take it with me to my next home without any trouble.Pros:- Apartment friendly- Easy installation, easy to remove/fold out of the way thanks to the included velcro strips- Includes everything you need to install and generous amount of the fabricCons:- Thin material, might be easy to tear if not handled with care (or if you have a naughty cat)Bottom Line:At $20, it’s okay. I’d recommend it for anyone who lives in an apartment or is going to use it long term..

Flimsy but functional
Very thin material. I don’t have high hopes for it keeping the cool winter draft out. But so far it has worked well with keeping the sun out. It was large enough to cover a big double widow and still had about a foot left over. The adhesives sent with it to attach it do peel the wall paint but when removed. But for the most part it is affordable and gets the job done.
