I’ve tried a few sun shades before, but this 2025 upgrade from Nmoiss is a game changer. The umbrella-style design makes it super easy to open and close—no more awkward folding or struggling to fit it in place. The vinyl coating really does the job in blocking out heat; my car interior stays noticeably cooler even on scorching Texas afternoons. The spring structure edge gives it a snug fit against the windshield, and the medium size is perfect for my sedan. It folds down compactly and fits neatly in the glove box. This little gadget is actually really handy. I never could figure out how to fold those hoops on previous sun shades. This one just opens and closes like an umbrella. Simple and effective, so I actually use it.

Worth every penny
UPDATED REVIEW – Now that I have used the window shade for “about” a month somethings I wish were a little different or was fine with the first use but just ok now.I am very careful with my use of the shade as in putting up/taking down/storage. I have noticed the hinges closest to the window/dashboard have started to flex down versus staying tight and straight. Each side of the shade also now leave gaps allowing light/heat in (I had thought of adding Velcro to the shade sides but I don’t want to ruin my car like that). Don’t get me wrong it’s not a bad car shade (much better then the old style ones) but it could use some improvements. I wanted to buy 2 for my kids but I think I will look around first before I decide on sticking with this one or trying something different.I have only used the window shade once so far (today) and my thought when I got back in my car after hours of sitting in the sun was oh my all of my kids are so getting one of these. It covered my windshield perfectly. It was light weight, very sturdy, took only a minute to install and came back down just as easily. Unlike my old one held up by 2 suction cups and was always coming under with gaps this one stayed in place. It’s worth every penny!

Compact, Efficient, Easily Deployed/Folded, Excellent Sun & Heat Deflection
I was little hesitant to order this, but my circular flip-fold screen from my previous vehicle didn’t fit and I wanted to avoid the stiff foldable versions (too bulky and hard to store), so I thought I’d give this umbrella-style sunscreen a try. Very pleased I did – after a few tries initially, it was easy to figure out how to quickly deploy it. It fits very well (I got the medium size for my 2026 Lexus NX350), covering 98% of the windshield (very small gaps in the upper corners – but most sunshields have the same issue – definitely NOT a showstopper). It re-deploys/folds quickly and easily – you just have to “scrunch” it a bit and use the mirror strap to secure it so it fits into the supplied pouch (not really necessary). It does a super job of blocking the sun and the heat retention is minimal. The slot cut for the mirror allows quick and easy alignment and the velcro strap secures it to the mirror. The struts have vinyl covered springs at the ends which conform to the contour of the windshield. It’s about the size of a mini-umbrella, so can easily fit under a seat or in a door pocket. A great, functional solution to prevent direct sun damage to your dash and interior, plus keep heat buildup to a minimum. Great product and highly recommended.

Fast and solid
I am from a spot that can often climb to 105+ degrees during the summer months. I have used folding blinds and the ones that fold into a large disc. This works much better! It is more compact, easy to use, and feels solid. Best of all, it blocks out more of the sunlight than the others I have used.

Good quality, but has issues
Love the concept behind the design, and it’s actually great quality, but I bought specifically for my 2024 Suburban (and confirmed it was designed for my vehicle). Unfortunately, it’s too tight of a fit. I’m concerned with the placement of the handle as well, as it seems it could damage the screen in the middle of my dashboard. I wanted to love it, because it’s purpose of efficiency, and the sun protection is 5 starts, but the super tight fit requires I manuever it in unnatural ways to force it to fit, and the risk of damage simply isn’t worth it.

Awesome car shade!
This is my favorite car shade I have ever purchased! I think the best part about it is that it is that the umbrella feature makes this very compact which was always a complaint i had about old shades I have purchased. It isn’t an exact perfect fit (which you can see in the photo) but that is not a super huge deal as it does what it is intended to do and is pretty close. The shade is very easy to put in the window and take back off. I live in the south and it is very hot and humid more of the year and this has made a noticeable difference in the temperature of my car when i get in after it’s been sitting for a while.
