Best cheap investment I’ve made so far!
I was a bit worried when I opened these because of how thin they are. I live in a desert location with crazy high temperatures and the 2nd and 3rd floor is just way too hot! Within I’d say 10-15 minutes of putting these up the temperature dropped noticeably and my room is pitch dark! The only slight issues I have with them are that there is some light coming in from around the edges, but I have super-super thick drapes over my windows so that cleared the problem. They are also really easy to install, and the stick up things actually stayed on my wall. I have 100% flat paint so nothing with adhesive usually sticks to my walls! 10/10 would recommend! I was able to cover 3 of my bay windows with this one panel. And these are not small windows. If I could find a better way to stick these up I bet they would block out every drop of light coming in.

Im glad this product was properly labeled very clearly. This is a DIY blackout kit that comes with measuring tape as well as adhesive backed velcro dots, and double sided tape for installation.You cut this yourself, so if you arent into that dont bother. I found that to be a plus because I have different window sizes.Very easy to measure and use the sticky backed velcro dots (these things are like an inch across, decent size) and get 2 windows in under 10 minutes easy. Do a great job of keeping the light out, as well as a chunk of the heat. This room has sunlight on it 70% of the day. No light penetrates the curtain itself. If YOU leave gaps on the edges it will not be perfect.Keep in mind, these do NOT go on curtains or curtain rods. They stick DIRECTLY to the wall or frame of the window. I stuck mine on the wall along the outer border of my window, but you might make it look better if you measured each window section and mounted directly over the glass. That would likely be the best method for those who have curtains/drapes and do not necessarily want to get rid of them. My method was a bit lazy but works great for my purposes.It was about 2 inches too short for the height of my window, but I found that a happy coincidence as it lets just enough light in the room to not be pitch black in the day time, but still do its job.Be precise with your cutting if you want it to look good. You will see jagged edges if you make them while cutting! That being said, jagged edges don’t effect the functionality, it is purely aesthetic.All in All good value, just what I needed for multiple windows, and had everything in the package to mount them up. The only thing you need yourself is scissors basically.

Reflective thin polymer based sheet, silver / black
This is just a thin polymer sheet. Really easy to cut which was great. Reinforced the corners with black duct tape and made a pretty awesome fully removable window cover for blocking car lights.Please note that there is absolutely no thermal properties to this sheet. You want to buy ‘double bubble’ if you are trying to block heat not light.Does the job and easy to work with as far as blocking light. It definitely is not multi-layered as they claim it’s just a super thin sheet.

I absolutely love the BoxElfos 100% Blackout Blind Curtains Window Cover. I am retired. Before I purchased these blackout window covers, I used to get up as soon as the sunlight entered my bedroom. Now my bedroom is very dark. And I don’t know if It is 10:00 AM or 10:00 PM. And I am getting much more quality sleep.

Worked great
Had kids and grandkids come into town for a stay. They Gkids are young enough to need blackouts to help go to sleep [it was summertime so it doesn’t get dark until 9:30]. I bought this because the width was the exact width of our windows [no cutting required]. ***We did use some masking tape along the edges to make a total seal and keep the light from peeking through. And the length was just right for 2 windows [just had to cut in half]. We DID find that the adhesive dots fell down a couple of times, but no big thing. They lasted the night and did fine.

Keeps the heat out!
I’m in love with this black out fabric. Easy to use. After you do one window you learn how easy it can be. Keeps the sunlight and heat out! I’m a day sleeper, so this was perfect. Plus it came in white to match my blinds and curtains. I have a set of sliding glass doors that faced East and would let a lot of light and heat into my house. This fabric covered them perfectly with 157 length.The only reason I’m giving a 3 star rating is because I didn’t get a measuring tape and the fold wrinkles. I wish there were lightly printed dots or dashes to assist with measuring and cutting.Otherwise thrilled and I can’t wait to see my electric bill go down after a month of using this fabric. I love this fabric so much I ordered another piece to do all my windows! Another reason for the 3 star rating is bcuz, the adhesive on the hook & loop fasteners melted in the heat! The adhesive melted and the fabric along with glue mess slid down the window! I had to purchase a separate brand of hook & loop fasteners and reapply the fabric.

The sheets of velcro were all smashed together, sticky side to sticky side. Completely unusable. The size I ordered is not what showed up, but instead I received 3 or 4 narrow pieces that don’t even add up to the right size. Looks like trash from the inside and out. Just get blackout curtains

My son’s room gets the brunt of the Florida sun all day. His windows were tinted a bit, he has blinds and blackout curtains but his room was still always so hot. I was looking for something that wasn’t going to break the bank to help cool his room. It was easy to put up, as others have said because it comes folded it does have wrinkles. Our AC went out not long after I put this up, I just rolled it up so we could open his windows. I could have used a bigger size as I didn’t measure before I bought it and it is short on the bottom. Overall I think this is well worth the money and would recommend as it has helped to block the sun and help cool his room.

This is amazing. Not only does it keep sun out, but heat/uv as well. Put it up in bedroom window to keep strong summer sun out, and it works great. Plus you get A LOT. There is enough to do more than one window. We used 63inches, and still had enough to do 2 more no problem. Note it is a silver colour on outside, so people will see that.It comes with many round velcro circles, and a handful of black velcro strips. I find that the circles stuck better to the sides of the window. We did not stick to the glass directly, we put it on the edge around the window. So far so good.

These works great, aside from the overwhelming stench of fish that was on it when it arrived. We had to hose them down with soap and leave them outside overnight as the smell was truly unbearable. Other than that, they cut easy to fit on all the windows we needed covering and so far appear to be sticking on well…hopefully they will remain that way but only on day 1 🙂

We use this in our babies rooms to keep it dark for sleeping (mostly afternoon naps). Works great in Air BnBs with a little bit of 3M painters tape.
