Thankful we had this in unexpected rain!
We just bought this cabana to have when we go to the beach since we just moved to Florida. It was very light to carry and easy enough to set up and take down, though we didn’t bother with the sandbags or stakes since we had lots of other heavy bags inside. It held up well for most of the time on the beach and was a nice little shelter for naps and eating, plus the flaps were nice for blocking out the sun or letting a breeze in. We ended up getting caught in a bit of a storm and the tent wanted to get blown up by the wind but the seams held up great. No water got in through any of the seams and since the flaps folded up, we didn’t get much rain inside the tent either. He didn’t intend on testing it out as a rain shelter but we’re thankful we had it anyway. 100% glad we purchased this and will be using it on all our trips to the beach. It was large enough to hold 2 adults and 2 little kids while we ate inside. We didn’t use the front flap but it’s nice to have that as an option to close it up for some privacy for clothing changes or if we want to hide our belongings while in the water. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a little extra protection on beach trips!

Spacious, sturdy, fast setup
Spacious, sturdy, sets up fast, good breeze, and optional flaps to block sun.Seems to block sun well. I haven’t got a sunburn in it despite laying in it for hours.Excellent design.Makes beach visits more pleasant for those of us who burn.I liked this so much I bought another after losing the first.

Excellent beach tent with other uses, because it’s a real tent.
Easy to set up, 3 poles, very sturdy in the wind, sandbag “stakes” are great, windows that go to the floor with roll up solid nylon panels makes you feel as if the tent is not even there with a full view of the beach behind (and in front of you with the open face) and allows changing or privacy possible (but all use ties with loops, would like a zipper but that would bring the cost up), front wall completely seals up the tent and doubles as a vestibule.Not too big, not too small, it’s the perfect small family tent for the beach, I could see using it for more, because it’s a real Kelty tent, even the seams are sealed, and it’s not meant to be waterproof, but seems like it would be useful shelter in moderate rain, definitely strong enough against wind.The best I’ve seen for the beach, glad I got it.

It’s cool. Could use a little reengineering with the blinds, as they sort of just loosely hook in to cover the screens. Spacious and easy to set up. Rolls up well and is compact to travel with.

Very Nice Tent
We used this tent for the beach, and so far it is holding up very well. It is very easy to set-up and to remove when you are finished. The tent has a nice size that fits easily 3 chairs and a big tote bag.It has 3 roll-down windows that are perfect to get more sun protection or let the breeze flow.It seems good quality, but time will tell. So far happy with purchase.

Haven’t used it at the beach, but works great so far. Really like all of Kelty’s tents (cabana trchnically),Have had 2 of them that have worked great for years and are still in great shape. It’s not the largest, but I’m over 6’ tall and can fit under it in a normal nylon folding chair. Enough room for 2-3 people/chairs, more if you just sit on the floor of the tent/cabana. Very easy to set up and packs up decently small, about the size of a collapsible camp chair and weighs about the same. Overall very pleased, definitely recommend.

Roomy and versatile
We needed a versatile shelter–something to cook under on a rainy day when tent camping, and a shade tent at the beach. We sprayed this cabana with Camp Dry silicone spray the first time we set it up, and it soon served as a rainy-day kitchen. There was enough room for two of us to sit in cloth folding chairs, with a one-burner camp stove in front of us. It also worked well at the beach. We lowered the cover on the sunny side, and opened up the shady side to allow the breeze to cool us off. As the sun moved, we opened the covered side and closed the other side. The covers attach with large buttons that fit through loops of fabric, so there are no zippers to get jammed up with sand. We covered the floor with beach towels, but the floor would have been enough. So happy to have this!
