Worth every penny.
I am a asphalt paving contractor. In Virginia. I usualy wear a straw hat. When i sweat it would soak the hat and make it soggy. Way lighter than a straw hat, very comfortable. You can wear it all day.This hat wicks moisture to the hat brim and runs out. The mesh on top allows cool air to flow through, you can feel it. The front of the brim is the correct length to protect your face, yet does not block your vision. The back brim curves downward and gives sun protection to your neck. The sides sort of curl up, due to the wire in the outside of the brim. So not the best sun protection from the side, but more than adequate. It keeps its shape under extream use. This is a durable hat. I have received complements on its looks. I removed the neck lanyard, it just bothers me.Panama Jack put some thought into this and came out a winner. It camc safely shipped in its own box. 5 Stars for sure. I hope this helps.

Once I opened the box I noticed well designed and protected the hat was within the boxing package so a 5 out of 5 for that. The quality of the hat is very good and is well made. Only thing I personally didn’t like was that the screen around the top of the hat is super transparent which lets a lot of sun through. Overall very good rating

Just OK. Not the quality I was expecting.
I bought this hat, thinking Panama Jack was a quality name making quality hats. I found this hat to be very flimsy, it had some creases in it that I could not get out, and it is a little bit too lightweight and it runs small.It does not seem to hold it shape very well because it is so thin and flimsy. Quite disappointed. Most likely going to return.

Great Looking but fails even if it gets a little wet
I was very excited about this purchase. It fit great, was packable, looked good. The first time wearing it there was a very light rain and the hat got a little damp. Unfortunately that was it for the hat, the crown of the hat never got it’s shape back (the sides collapsed) and the brim lost it shape and I could not get it to return to its correct shape.Additionally we saw in 2-3 Port of St. Thomas shops this same Panama Jack hat for $29!

Just what I was looking for. Great style, great fit, light weight and sun protection. Might be a little light in the wind but it seems to have good chin strap.
