In preparation for travel, my goal was to find a single, secure organizer to replace the baseline method of carrying a passport and a separate wallet. The benchmark for a good holder was its ability to consolidate essential documents, provide verifiable security through RFID blocking, and maintain a reasonably compact form factor.Upon receiving the holder, my initial evaluation focused on its construction and internal layout. The material feels durable, the stitching is clean, and the zipper operates smoothly without catching. Internally, the layout is practical, with a dedicated passport sleeve and several card slots. While the card slots appear spacious, they securely held the few cards I placed in them. A notable design choice is the small tube pocket in the spine; a standard-length pen placed here is too long and prevents the holder from zipping closed, leaving its purpose unclear.The most critical feature to verify was its RFID blocking capability. To test this, I placed a credit card with tap-to-pay functionality inside one of the slots, zipped the holder shut, and attempted a transaction at a contactless payment terminal. The terminal was unable to read the card, confirming that the RFID blocking material works as advertised and provides a tangible layer of security.In summary, the FIREDOG passport holder successfully balances organization with a key security feature. It is well-constructed and compact enough for convenient travel, and its primary security function is effective. For travelers seeking to consolidate their documents securely, this is a very capable option. As a result, it stands as a practical and reliable travel accessory, despite the minor design oversight with its central pen holder.

Good Passport Case! Sturdy and tough. Still slim, with no logos. Perfect.
This is an alternative passport case for me for when I’m out and about traveling in more “high-stress” situations. Normally I use a leather Rolex passport holder, however in many countries it’s important to have your passport on your person, and recently I was at an elephant excursion where we actually were IN the water– bathing the elephants with coconut husks, getting sprayed by them, tons of fun, and it just wasn’t the right place for a fancy-pants passport holder. Enter this item!The outside is a durable grey fabric that has texture to it. I won’t call it waterproof, but it does repel water. I wouldn’t take it in a river or in a pool, but if in my shorts and splashed with water? The insides won’t get wet.I purposefully didn’t review it for a few weeks because I wanted to find a pen to take pictures with first. Well just found the pen and you can see that it has a little sleeve designed into the center seam to hold a pen. The one in the picture is something I bought on Amazon, a ZEBRA mini ballpoint pen. Holds it PERFECTLY.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0018RHUM0This can fit both US and non-US passports, and has room for cards as well. There is a slit pocket on teh outside that you can put your boarding passes in.Overall I can recommend this. It’s not the sleek slim kind of thing that I normally go for, BUT, it is serving it’s purpose for what I want… a sturdy, “tough” kind of passport holder that can take a beating and protect the inner contents. I can easily throw this in my backpack and not be concerned about roughing up the leather or look of the Rolex passport holders that I normally use, so this one is literally perfect and exactly the understated look and scruffy feel of what I wanted.Enjoy!Oh, PS – I added it to the title, but have to mention that I like that there are no logos, it’s more of a wallet, but still slim, and there’s no P A S S P O R T splayed all over the outside of the thing. Again, when traveling in certain situations, understated is key. Don’t look like a newbie, look like you belong. 😉

Good budget one. Not sure abour RFID blocking
This is a good budget travel wallet. I’m really not sure about the RFID blocking; I don’t feel any plates built in. The front pocket has no velcro or anything. Awesome that it has no logos on the outside; the RFID blocking logo is there but not super obtrusive. The tag inside can be cut off. The feel is fine; not bad not premium. No name zippers but they feel OK.

Nice practical and non-flashy passport holder
This is a passport holder for people who are not looking for showy accessories. It is made of a nice heavy duty material, and it has slots for a passport, credit cards, and another slot for cash or miscellaneous. Additionally, there is a slot pocket on the outside. The zipper works well and runs smoothly, and it closes up nicely and is compact. I will note that the small slot along the inner spine – ostensibly for holding a pen – is rather short, so you will need a small pen no longer than 4 inches give or take if you want to hold a pen in this case. Appreciate the RIFD blocking technology as well. Looks nice, slim, easy to use, a nice quality item with a good capacity for holding your cards, cash, and passport.
