Versatile
We already have a 10×10 pop-up canopy, but sometimes that too cumbersome. Bought this one for smaller day use. It’s really easy to figure out how to assemble, and setup/takedown is quick. The carry bag is great, with backpack straps along the length and a sturdy handle on one end.Within the first two months, it was the shade for digging at Crater of Diamonds State Park, a shade and quick change booth for dance performers at Toledo’s Old West End Festival, and shade for an SCA fighter at two events. The Society for Creative Anachronism martial artists tend to share huge canvas day shades, usually historically approximate, but sometimes that’s simply too much for vehicle space constraints and needs several people to put up. While it’s obviously modern, this was also small enough to tuck amongst the guy wires of other shades, using the otherwise wasted space.

Great Little Sun Shelter and bee hive inspection shelter (after modifications)
This is a great little sun and beach shelter. One person can easily assemble it. It is light enough to pick up and move around once it is assembled. And it does not have a floor so you get to sit on the grass or sand and not worry about your beach chairs poking holes through a fabric floor. And it has screens on both sides with covers that can be raised to allow a breeze to flow through if you wish. Also the back can be raised for even more air flow if desired. I plan to get a 2nd one for its original use since I modified the 1st one I bought to use in my honey bee apiary during the summer robbing season. When there are not many flowers blooming, bees are on the look out for other weaker hives to rob of their honey. If I need to open a hive and spend some time inspecting it, robbers show up and try to enter the hive which can lead to robbing if they get away with it. I needed some way to exclude the robbers. This shelter was large enough to go over my hive with enough room for me inside to work with it. I modified the shelter by attaching a fabric screen to cover the front entrance and by sewing up the two rear seams. Now I can place the shelter over each hive and leisurely inspect it without worrying about robbers. When I am done, I lift the shelter off the hive and tip it on its back to let the bees that have accumulated at the top of the shelter escape and move on to the next hive.

Great
My husband bought this tent for the kids to hang out in while he fishes. Easy set up and works well.

Great for shade at outdoor events
We bought this to provide cover from the Sun at outdoor events. Works great for that.

Easy to transport and assemble, roomy.
This was just right for us. I purchased this to use at the beach in particular. Good quality. It is compact and easy enough to transport and assembles fairly easily. We set up 2 beach chairs inside with plenty of room to also spread out a beach towel and lay down to take a nap, or to move around and stand up. Adjustable panels on the sides roll up to allow air flow when you want it, and they secure easily when you want some protection from the wind. Included are sandbags that can be filled and attached to the bottom to hold everything in place on a windy beach. We have used it 2 times and so far, so good!

I prefer this over a larger 10’x10′ pop up canopy
I’ve been using a much larger 10’x10′ pop up canopy for years for my RC helicopter hobby needs. I now prefer this much smaller and an compact sun shelter for several reasons.1. This smaller and more compact sun shelter is much lighter weight and takes up less room in my small Honda CRV than the heavier and bulkier 10’x10′ pop up canopy.2. This sun shelter works better for me protecting me and my equipment from the sun. Since this sun shelter has side walls, it protects me and my equipment from the sun regardless of how the sun shifts position in the sky throughout the day. With the 10’x10′ pop up canopy, I have to shift my seat and the tables looking for new shaded areas, as the sun shifts throughout the day.

Awesome!
My wife and I were looking for something that would protect us from the sun when we go to the beach. This had passed the test. It did not take up much space, it was easy to set-up, folding it back up was easy with two people. We did not use the stake that were provided, but bought sand spikes, which held the canopy in place all day in very windy conditions. Great purchase!
