Easy Peasy Portable Shade Solution!
After much research I decided to get this style as some beaches are banning non-umbrella shade options. Since this is essentially a jazzed up umbrella it’s generally accepted when other tent style options are not. This was exactly what we needed and somehow easier than installing a regular umbrella! The setup and breakdown was simple and it fit in the storage bag with ease after use and you don’t even need to be an origami master to do so! It also proved to have good wind resistance when my hat wouldn’t stay on my head this umbrella was steadfast! One feature I really appreciated is how the ends of the umbrella’s arms folds upward. I’ve lost many rain umbrella’s due to arms breaking when a wind gust sends the arms upright instead of down. This sun shade umbrella’s arm ends are designed to bend upward which condenses its size when packing away but also helps preserve its integrity in wind gusts. I’m considering buying a second one and have encouraged family to do same so we can align them into one large shaded space. It comfortably fit 2 beach chairs side by side however, to fit more would require sitting in the round. The detachable side shade provided great coverage but could be improved by having the attachment loops placed a little higher as given their current placement it yields a gap between the bottom of the umbrella edge and the top of the shade panel. The gap interrupts the shade effect. The attachments loops are only on one side so you need to spin the umbrella or plan accordingly when setting up to ensure it’s on the side you intended. An upgrade would be to have fabric loops on all sides for optional placement. A plus is the pockets on each long fabric sleeve that you fill with sand and a higher pocket for small items along with 2 scoops. Loved having 2! Highly recommend and definitely would not choose a smaller version.

Does NOT work as advertised!
7/30/2025 Update: The seller contacted us and offered to send us a replacement free of charge. We used it on Monday, and it worked great! 10/10 customer service from the seller and good product overall.We’ve used this item twice on the Florida panhandle beaches this summer. The max wind we saw was 20 mph. The pole is not stable in the sand no matter how deep we put it. The metal arm poles on the canopy seem awfully stressed and are bending at an uncomfortable angle. Because of that, the fabric corner parts are far too long which leads to flapping and stress at the base of the sand bag. One of which is tearing already. The shade screen adds even more weight to the already stressed arms and is unusable. 0/10 would not recommend.

Good quality
Good quality for the price. Easy to set up. If it’s very windy on the beach, the canopy will bend similar to a regular beach umbrella. But it held up. It worked very well for us. Provides a good amount of shade.

Cheap Metal, great customer service
I have mixed feeling about this. I took it to the beach and it worked well for one day, then one of the legs broke when a gust of wind kicked up while taking it down. I posted a review and was contacted by a customer service rep who sent out a replacement canopy without me soliciting it. I still stand by my initial review that the support arms are flimsy and recommend it be used on a calm day, but light-weight metals equal a product that doesn’t weigh a ton. I increased my rating to five stars for their excellent customer service.

Beach umbrella flop
I bought this a couple of weeks before heading to the beach. This first time I set it up, it worked fine. The second time it was windy and one of the support bars in the umbrella bent and flopped down. After that point the umbrella was useless as it one side would flop down.Now I realize the wind was an issue but I thought this product was supposed to be strong, after all, isn’t there wind at the beach?Anyway, all I have now is an expensive broken umbrella after trying to use it a second time. Not a good use of my money. Since I bought it early before using it, the return period passed so I could not return it.My advice, never buy something early; use it right away to see if is worth keeping.

Won’t hold up to wind
Got this hoping to not splurge for the Cool Cabana and save a bit. I have a few issues with this that ended up causing me to return it. 1) the main pole is very thin steel and I’d be worried about it rusting after a season. 2) in the wind the canopy is not very ridged. We had a storm roll through while on the beach and we had to hold the corners from collapsing while people with the Cool Cabana were comfortably standing under theirs and that canopy was barely moving. 3) the fabric with the bags is too long.I ended up returning it for the Cool Cabana and it was worth the money.

Not great in the wind.
This will probably be just fine on nice calm days; provides a nice amount of shade and is easy to put up. I had hoped that this would hold up better in the wind, but it did not. Maybe it is because of the size we ordered, but those extendable arms just bend way down in a stiff breeze. We ended up having to use our old regular umbrella instead.

Great alternative to “name brand”
We saw the “name brand” all over the beach this summer but didn’t want to spend big $$. We used this every day for a week’s vacation on the beach and it did just as well as “name brand”. Super easy to put up, take down and store/carry. It did well in the wind. We never used the optional side wall, so can’t speak to that. I’m glad we got the solid blue – easier to find in the sea of blue and white stripes!

The rounded ball provides plenty of protection for both heavy and lightweight tarps, while the spiked end gives good traction in the ground. When paired with tight guide wires this is a great tool for setting up rain protection using your tarps.

When folded the pole is a bit bigger than anticipated that makes it more difficult to pack nicely in a small pack but it is as advised, in aluminium, and so is fairly lightweight and works perfectly well with tarps etc. for a simple shelter.

Me parece mejor que el original que trae mi toldo. Para empezar la punta es metálica y no de plástico y la cabeza de bola, protege mejor que la que tengo de media bola.Es muy ligero y el acabado es muy fino de calidad.

We got this to the lake and it did exactly what we needed to do. It’s a decent shade, plenty of room underneath, and it handled a breezy day without any issues. The sandbag anchors really help keep it planted without needing stakes. It takes a bit of time to set up the first go, but after that it’s quick. Not heavy or bulky, so it’s not a pain to pack around either. Wouldn’t expect it to handle crazy wind, but for a chill day outdoors, it does the trick.

Ich nutze diese Stange für mein Tarp. Zum mittigen Abstützen wenn es Regnet.Ich hatte eigentlich gehofft man kann die Kugel abnehmen aber das scheint mir nur durch Zerstörung möglich.Die andere Seite ist auch nur für die Erde Geeignet es gibt aber keinen Schutz gegen einsinken.
